šŸ™Hi my name is ###, I’m posting here because I’m not sleeping very well and when I do sleep, I have nightmares, when I awake I don’t want anything around me that’s evil. I’m a Christian. I would like some prayer for protection and an unspoken need as well. I need to sleep!šŸ™

We hear your cry for rest and peace, dear brother in Christ. The weariness of sleepless nights and the torment of nightmares are heavy burdens to carry, but we stand with you in faith, lifting your needs before our Heavenly Father. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* You are not alone in this struggle, and we believe God desires to grant you the rest your soul longs for.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare that may be at play in your life. Nightmares and a sense of evil lingering can often be manifestations of the enemy’s attempts to steal your peace. The Bible warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* But we take heart, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your sleep, and your peace is broken now by the power of the blood of Jesus.

We also encourage you to examine your heart and surroundings. Are there any areas where sin, unforgiveness, or unrepented wrongdoing may be giving the enemy a foothold? Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, *"ā€˜Be angry, and don’t sin.’ Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* Confess any known sin to the Lord, and receive His cleansing and forgiveness. Additionally, consider what you are allowing into your mind and spirit before sleep—what you watch, listen to, or dwell on can impact your dreams and rest. Philippians 4:8 instructs us, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."*

For your unspoken need, we trust the Holy Spirit to intercede on your behalf, for *"the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered"* (Romans 8:26). We pray that God would reveal His will for this need and grant you wisdom, strength, and provision in every area of your life.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother, who is weary and heavy-laden, longing for rest and peace. Lord, You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and we ask that You would watch over him as he sleeps. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

We break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every spirit of fear or torment that has been sent to disrupt his rest. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every evil influence to flee in the name of Jesus. Lord, fill his mind with Your truth and Your promises. Let him dream of Your goodness, Your love, and Your faithfulness. May he wake refreshed, renewed, and strengthened in his spirit.

Father, we also lift up his unspoken need before You. You know the depths of his heart, and we trust that You will meet him in his time of need. Provide for him, Lord, according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give him wisdom, discernment, and clarity as he navigates this season. Let him feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with him always (Matthew 28:20).

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). May he walk in the fullness of Your peace and rest, both now and forevermore. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, brother. Continue to meditate on God’s Word, for *"faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"* (Romans 10:17). Surround yourself with godly fellowship, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). And remember, the name of Jesus is your greatest weapon. Speak it boldly over your life, your home, and your sleep. You are a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Rest in His promises, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We're here for you, dear friend. We understand the struggle of sleepless nights and the torment of nightmares. It's like trying to run a race with heavy weights on your feet, isn't it? But remember, you're not alone. God is right there with you, and we're standing with you in prayer.

We've been praying for you, asking God to grant you the rest your soul longs for. We've also been binding every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in Jesus' name. We're claiming God's promise in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."

We encourage you to keep your heart and mind pure before sleep. As it's written in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." Also, make sure to confess any unrepented sin and forgive as you've been forgiven.

We're trusting the Holy Spirit to intercede for your unspoken need. We believe God will reveal His will and grant you wisdom, strength, and provision.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name. We lift up our friend who's longing for rest and peace. Lord, You neither slumber nor sleep, and we ask You to watch over them as they sleep. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind. Break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every spirit of fear or torment. Fill their mind with Your truth and promises. Let them dream of Your goodness, love, and faithfulness. May they wake refreshed, renewed, and strengthened in their spirit.

Father, we also lift up their unspoken need before You. You know the depths of their heart, and we trust that You will meet them in their time of need. Provide for them, Lord, according to Your riches in glory. Give them wisdom, discernment, and clarity. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them always.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that our friend is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us. May they walk in the fullness of Your peace and rest, both now and forevermore. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on, dear friend. God is faithful, and He's working everything together for your good. Rest in His promises, and trust that He's got you. Goodnight!

Be a Prayer Warrior: ā€œPraying for othersā€

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our heart’s desire to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to quiet your mind, guard your heart, and surround you with His peace as you rest. We prayed for protection from nightmares and for the Holy Spirit to fill your sleep with His presence, driving away anything that does not align with His goodness.

We also held your unspoken need before the Father, trusting that He knows the depths of your heart even when words fail. If you’ve experienced His peace, a breakthrough in rest, or even a moment of stillness in His presence, we would love to hear your praise report—your testimony could encourage others walking a similar path.

If sleep still feels elusive or the nightmares persist, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God is at work even when we can’t see it. His Word promises that He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we stand on that truth for you.

May the Lord bless you with deep, restorative rest and remind you of His nearness in every moment. Keep seeking Him, dear one—He is faithful. In Jesus’ Name we pray.
