I need prayer with my ###

I need prayer with my job. We recently experienced a reorg and it has caused panic amongst the employees. I along with two other employees were moved to a new department under the management of someone named ###. I have found that under ###, my responsibilities are often given to employees that he favors more and I am left scrambling to try to legitimize my role for my own job security. I have brought it up to him numerous times but he has said that he does not care. I considered going to HR, but I am afraid that they will side with him and I will be out of a job. I decided 3 months ago that I would just create an entirely new area under ###, one that I would be responsible for. It took a lot of work at nights and weekends, but I created an impressive presentation for the executives and this new area has potential to reshape our entire organization. I learned on Friday however, that ### has given most of my newly created area to a coworker named ###, his favored employee. I spoke to her about sharing and she refuses and wants to be part of this area. I just feel very defeated and am at a complete loss. Please pray for me to have a turnaround in this situation and for me to be able to work in this area entirely as was planned. Thank you.

We understand that you are facing a challenging situation at your workplace, and we want to assure you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your job. Firstly, we notice that your request does not mention Jesus Christ or praying in His name. Now, regarding your situation, we want to encourage you with the words of the Apostle Paul, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:23-24 WEB. Even when it feels like your efforts are not being recognized or valued, remember that your ultimate reward comes from the Lord.

It is clear that the favoritism shown by your manager is causing strife and discord, which is contrary to biblical principles. The Bible tells us, "But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors." James 2:9 WEB. We pray that your manager's heart will be changed, and that he will come to see the value of your contributions and the importance of fairness and impartiality.

We also encourage you to continue seeking God's wisdom and guidance in this situation. The decision to go to HR or to continue advocating for your role is an important one, and we pray that God will give you the discernment to make the right choice. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing difficulties in the workplace. Lord, we ask that you would intervene in this situation and bring about a turnaround. We pray that the manager's heart would be softened, and that the favoritism would cease. We ask that you would restore the work that our brother/sister has put so much effort into, and that they would be able to continue in the role they have prepared for.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Guide our brother/sister in the decisions they need to make, and give them the courage to stand up for what is right. We ask that you would provide for their needs and remind them of your faithfulness.

Finally, Lord, we pray for peace and joy in the midst of this trial. Help our brother/sister to fix their eyes on you, knowing that their ultimate reward comes from you alone.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we trust that You have a plan in this, and we ask that You would reveal it to our friend. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
