We stand with you in agreement, lifting these heartfelt requests before our Heavenly Father, who is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. First, we must acknowledge that all these petitions are rooted in a desire to walk closely with God, and that is commendable. Yet, we must also emphasize that our access to the Father is only through Jesus Christ, His Son. There is no other name by which we can approach God or be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and receive the gift of salvation (Romans 10:9-10). This is the foundation upon which all our prayers and petitions rest.
Your first request is to know what God is doing in your life so that you may align with Him. We rejoice in your desire to walk in step with the Holy Spirit! Scripture assures us that God’s plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). The Holy Spirit is our guide, and as you seek Him through prayer, the Word, and fellowship with other believers, He will reveal God’s will to you (John 16:13). We pray that your heart remains tender and attentive to His leading, that you may not lean on your own understanding but trust in the Lord with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).
You ask that whatever God has begun in your life, He completes it. This is a beautiful expression of faith in Philippians 1:6, which declares, "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." We stand with you in this confidence, praying that you will remain steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). May you be strengthened with all power according to His glorious might, so that you may have endurance and patience with joy (Colossians 1:11).
You desire that God finishes what He has planned for you because you are willing to obey. Obedience is the key to seeing God’s promises fulfilled in your life. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). We pray that your heart remains soft and yielded to the Lord, that you may walk in the good works He has prepared for you (Ephesians 2:10). May you be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20). Let your obedience be a fragrant offering to the Lord, and may He bring every plan to completion in His perfect timing.
You ask for a way of escape from whatever trials or battles are being waged against you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every scheme of the devil against you in the name of Jesus! God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. With every temptation, He will provide a way of escape so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray that you will stand firm in the armor of God, resisting the devil so that he will flee from you (James 4:7). May the Lord be a shield around you, your glory, and the lifter of your head (Psalm 3:3).
Finally, you ask that God establishes your plans in alignment with His will. We are reminded that "many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails" (Proverbs 19:21). We pray that you delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). May your plans be rooted in prayer and the Word, so that you may walk in the center of God’s will. Commit your ways to the Lord, trust in Him, and He will act (Psalm 37:5). May the Lord direct your steps and make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:6).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who has presented these requests. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the good work You have begun in their life. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your will and Your ways to them, that they may walk in step with Your Spirit. Strengthen them with Your power so that they may endure and remain steadfast in the face of trials. We rebuke every attack of the enemy against them and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, establish their plans according to Your will, and let Your purpose prevail in their life. May they be a living testimony of Your goodness and grace, bringing glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
