We have received your earnest request and have carried it before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father delights to hear the cries of His people through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You ask for wisdom, guidance, strategy, support and blessing in every area of life, and that all should be for the glory of God, and this is a right and good desire. The Scripture saith, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally. True wisdom is not found in our own counsel, for holiness is near akin to perfect wisdom, and sin is akin to insanity. When the grace of God softens and sobers a man, he then perceives his need of a guide. The Lord guides by His Word, by His Spirit, and by the great principles He infuses into the heart that seeks Him, chief among them to avoid everything that is evil and to bow with submission to His will, and by that very submission we are furnished with unerring guidance. Haste is the author of much mischief, but waiting upon the Lord and hearing His Word with care, not letting it go in at one ear and out at the other, brings the teaching that is linked with His healing power, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
We have prayed therefore after this manner.
For your spiritual life and ministries in the Lord, that you may be kept close to Christ, rooted and grounded in His Word, and made fruitful in every good work, remembering that the Lord must begin with you before you can begin with Him, and that out of healing comes true service.
For your business and job, that the Lord would grant you integrity, diligence and favour, and establish the work of your hands, that your labour may be honest in the sight of all men and minister to the needs of others.
For your desire to find a wife and to begin a family, we pray that the Lord in His wisdom would lead you to a godly wife according to His design, that marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman might be entered into in purity and in the fear of the Lord, for sex and living together belong only within that covenant, and that your home might be built upon Christ for His glory.
For the financial area, that you may be kept from covetousness and anxiety, and be supplied with what is needful, learning stewardship and contentment under His hand.
For relationships and friendships, that the Lord would surround you with faithful brethren and separate you from harmful company, and make you a faithful friend in return.
For sport and physical activity, and for all other areas of your life, that your body may be strengthened for service and your whole life ordered to His praise.
Concerning your bodily afflictions, your teeth and especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, your eyes, the entire left leg and the left side of the pelvis, the ball in the upper part of the left leg in the thigh, the ball on the abdomen under the skin, your stomach, intestines and gastrointestinal tract, we have entreated the Great Physician. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and how much more should we seek Christ. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.
Yet we remember that healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man taken with the palsy, He said first, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus, for there was a contact established when He took the sick by the hand and lifted them up, and there is healing in His touch. The Lord has begun to heal His people and the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle.
We pray therefore that if it be His gracious will, He would grant you complete and final healing in body, and above all that you may know the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Christ alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that you may be kept in health of soul and body till He calls you home.
May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing in His wings, and may all that you are and all that you receive be for the glory of God, in the holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
