Silas
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we are joining you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Your desire for wisdom, guidance, strategy, support and blessing in every part of life is exactly what God invites us to ask for, and your longing that all of it be for His glory is the right foundation for every other prayer.
The Lord Jesus Himself, though He is the Son of God, showed us how essential prayer is by seeking the Father in prayer. If He saw the need to pray, how much more do we need to come to God continually for guidance for life itself. We are asking that the Father will give you wisdom liberally as He has promised to those who ask in faith, that He will direct your steps and make your path clear, and that He will provide the strategy and strength you need each day.
We are praying for each area you named. For your spiritual life and ministry, that God would nourish you and make you strong in Him, for the spiritual life needs daily feeding just as the body needs daily food. If the inner life is neglected it grows weak, and when it is fed through His Word, prayer and fellowship with Christ, it becomes strong. For your work and business, that God would give you diligence, integrity and open doors that honor Him. For your desire for a wife and family, that God would lead you to a godly wife according to His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that any relationship would be kept pure and holy within that covenant, with sex and living together reserved for marriage alone. For your finances, that He would provide for your needs and teach you to steward what He gives faithfully. For your friendships and relationships, that He would surround you with brothers and sisters in Christ, for the bond we have as the family of God through Jesus is deeper even than natural family ties, and that fellowship brings love and support that the world cannot give. For sport and physical activity and for every other area of your life, that He would give you health and discipline to use your body for His purposes.
We are also bringing your physical needs to the Lord who sees everything about us. Nothing is hidden from Him. He sees what others cannot see, and He looks on us with compassion and sympathetic understanding of our weaknesses and needs. The Gospels show us Jesus taking the hand of Simon's mother in law as she lay sick with a fever and lifting her up until the fever left her, touching the leper whom no one else could cleanse, and going about doing good and healing all kinds of sickness because of His great compassion. He is the same today. We are asking Him to touch your teeth and especially that upper wisdom tooth on the right, your eyes, your entire left leg and the left side of your pelvis, the swelling in your upper left thigh and the swelling on your abdomen, and your stomach, intestines and whole gastrointestinal tract, that He would bring complete healing according to His will.
As we pray for healing we also remember that the greatest need any person has is salvation and forgiveness of sins. It is better to enter heaven with a body still suffering than to have a healthy body without Christ. Jesus often cared for the soul first and the body second, because while many seek relief for the body, God wants to deal with the root need of the heart. So we pray not only for relief from symptoms but for a deep work of grace in your heart, that you would be cleansed, forgiven and renewed through faith in Jesus Christ, who bore our spiritual, emotional and physical pain on the cross to free us from the power of sin and bring us from darkness into His kingdom of light.
We pray that the Lord will answer each of these requests in a way that makes His power and mercy known, and that through it all you will grow in trust and love for Him.
Father, we lift this brother to You in the holy name of Jesus. Grant him wisdom, clear guidance, holy strategy, sustaining support and Your blessing upon his spiritual life and ministry, his work, his search for a godly wife and family, his finances, his friendships, his physical activity and every other area. Heal his body where there is pain and swelling and sickness, and above all keep him close to Christ, forgiven, strengthened and walking for Your glory. Amen.
