Silas
Beloved of All
You have cast a wide net before the Lord, naming every realm of life where you need His hand, and that is exactly where wisdom begins. The fear of the Lord is the starting place, and you have already taken that posture by confessing that you need Jesus Christ more than ever.
In the Scriptures, wisdom is not just good advice; it is personified as the Lord Himself, for in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. When you ask for wisdom, you are really asking for more of Him, and that is a request God loves to honor. A king once asked only for wisdom to navigate his calling, and because he did not plead first for riches or fame, God granted not only wisdom but also wealth and honor. Wisdom is the principal thing, better than rubies. All the things you long for, a godly wife, fruitful work, restored health, true friendships, are not to be compared to it. Yet when you pursue wisdom, which is Christ formed in you, those other things are often added.
The wisdom that comes from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, full of mercy. It does not produce envy or strife. So as you pray for strategy in business, for a family to begin, for your finances and your body, let that pure wisdom be your compass. The world has its own wisdom, but it is earthly, sensual, and leads to nothing. God’s wisdom builds up the family, governs relationships, and even directs how we care for the body. Your teeth, your eyes, your leg, the ball on your thigh and abdomen, God knows them all. We ask for complete healing in Jesus’ name, for by wisdom He founded the earth and by understanding He established the heavens; He is not at a loss for your frame.
Let your highest aim be what you already declared: that everything would be for God’s glory. Wisdom gives life to those who have it, and that life flows into every area: spiritual ministries, daily labor, physical activity, and the search for a spouse. Do not forsake her. Love her, and she will keep you. I join you in praying that the Spirit of wisdom and revelation would rest upon you, that you would walk in understanding, and that the Lord would bless you and preserve you wholly, spirit, soul, and body, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.
