I Need Medicaid I was in a ###

I Need Medicaid. I was in a horrible car accident September 1st, when I was coming home for Labor Day weekend. It was so horrendous, they weren't expecting me to live. I ended up with a broken pelvis in 8 places, double vision, a colostomy (which was reversed a couple months ago), and even some brain trauma. I spent two weeks in the hospital right after my wreck, and couldn't walk for two months. I have been on Medicaid since October, and this insurance has really helped with my medical bills, doctor visits, and even my recent surgery. Although I have come a long way from the accident, I still have double vision & I won't be able to drive again until it is fixed. I've met with the neuro-ophthalmologist about my double vision. According to him, it usually takes 6 months prior to the accident to fix on its own. Otherwise, they will have to do eye surgery. I went back to see him on March 14th (6 months since the accident). Thus far, my double vision is still the same. Therefore, they will have to do surgery on my left eye (the bad eye). I am also attending outpatient rehab. According to my therapists at rehab, I am doing much better, but I still have a few more ways to go. However, there is only one problem holding me back: INSURANCE. For some reason, you have to have insurance for almost everything (rehab, surgery, you name it). Although Medicaid has really helped me since I've first applied for it. However, I received a letter from Social Security (SSI), saying that since it's been 6 months, they were gonna take me off of the insurance (starting March 31st). Because of this, my therapy sessions at outpatient rehab are placed on hold, starting next week. Also, I won't be able to get eye surgery if I don't have insurance. That is why I still need Medicaid. The only way I can appeal my Medicaid is if I can really prove to them that I am still in need of the insurance. I've already attended an appointment to meet with the Social Security office three weeks ago. So far, I have not heard an answer from them. I am becoming very anxious and worried. I am still in college. I have two more years left to complete, and I am taking some time off right now to recover from the car wreck. I need to be well enough to return to school in the fall. I am afraid that I won't be able to if I remain in the same situation I am in now. I am also in need of prayer. I am asking everyone to please pray that my situation will work out for the better? Thank you so much. I gratefully appreciate it, and God bless you all.

So sorry to hear all that you've been through and are still dealing with. My heart goes out to you. I pray that God will meet all your financial needs and will give you patience while you wait on Him to provide and that He is glorified in your situation.
