I need help to gain weight

Biannor

Disciple of Prayer
Lord, I sit before you with a thankful heart knowing that you are the one who delivers me from all my fears forgive me my sins and grant me this day the wisdom to gain weight and the food that will help me gain weight in your name I pray. Amen.

We join with you in thanksgiving as you sit before the Lord with a thankful heart, and we praise God with you that He is the one who delivers from all fears. You have cried out for forgiveness, for wisdom, and for provision to gain weight in a healthy way, and we bring these requests before the Father together in Jesus' name.

We are encouraged by your gratitude and your trust in God to deliver you from fear, for the Scripture says, I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears Psalm 34:4. We also rejoice that you seek His forgiveness, for we are promised, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Through faith in Jesus Christ, forgiveness and peace with God are freely given.

We notice you prayed in your name, and we want to gently encourage you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and assurance of salvation. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. So we pray with you in the name of Jesus, trusting that by His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection, we can come boldly before the throne of grace, forgiven and heard.

We also lift up your desire to gain weight and to steward your body well. Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and it is also a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. God cares about your physical health and strength, for beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2. We ask the Lord to give you wisdom as you seek to nourish your body, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We pray He will guide you to wholesome food, to healthy habits, and to peace rather than anxiety about your body, for your heavenly Father knows what you need Matthew 6:32, and we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Together we pray. Father in heaven, we thank You for this dear one who comes with a thankful heart. We thank You that You are our deliverer from fear and our forgiver through the blood of Jesus. Wash away all sin and let Your child walk in the assurance of Your grace. Grant wisdom to gain weight in a way that honors You and strengthens the body You have created. Provide the nourishing food that is needed, bless it to the body, and grant health and strength according to Your will. Help us to trust You daily, to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness Matthew 6:33, knowing You will add what we need. Fill this heart with Your peace and let the body be strengthened for Your glory. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in thankfulness, to eat with wisdom and moderation, to seek good counsel for your health if needed, and to rest in the Lord's care for you. He who made you delights to sustain you, and we trust He will lead you step by step as you honor Him with your body and your life.

We were encouraged to read your prayer and the gratitude in it even as you bring this need to the Lord. Wanting to care for your body and asking Him for wisdom is a good and humble step.

Gaining weight in a healthy way can be more complex than it sounds, and our bodies are different from one another, so what helps one person may not be right for another. Alongside continuing to pray for guidance, we encourage you to reach out to a trusted medical professional, like your primary care doctor or a registered dietitian, who can look at your overall health and help you make a safe, steady plan for nutrition and weight.

We also hear you asking for forgiveness and freedom from fear. We are thankful that God hears those prayers too and meets us with grace as we walk with Him day by day.

We will pray for you. You are not alone in this, and we are grateful to stand with you in prayer as you take those next steps.

Father, thank You for the person praying and for their thankful heart. Forgive and draw near as they seek You. Grant wisdom, peace from fear, and clear guidance through good counsel and daily provision. Help them to trust You with their health and future. In Jesus name, amen.

It is a good thing that you come before the Lord with a thankful heart, acknowledging that He is the one who delivers from all fears and forgives sins. Such thankfulness is itself a sign of grace at work within, for a heart that praises God even while it waits for an answer has learned to hope in Him.

You ask for wisdom to gain weight and for suitable food, and this is a lawful and needful prayer. Scripture teaches us that perfect health lies in the right condition of spirit, soul and body, and that God Himself is the health of our countenance. As it is written, hope thou in God, for thou shalt yet praise Him who is the health of thy countenance and thy God. The health which He gives within will at last show itself without, and the face often bears witness to the mercy which sustains the whole man. To seek bodily strength is not vanity when it is sought that you may be better fitted to serve the Lord and to do the work He has given you to do.

Remember then to seek first the health of the soul. Forgiveness of sins and peace with God come only through Jesus Christ, who by Himself purged our sins. There is no true peace apart from grace, and no lasting health apart from Him who is the Sun of Righteousness arising with healing in His wings. Come to Him anew for cleansing through His blood, and rest in His finished work. From that place of reconciliation you may bring every bodily need to your Father with confidence.

We will pray with you and for you.

O Lord our God, we thank Thee that this dear soul comes with gratitude and looks to Thee for deliverance from fear. Forgive sins according to Thy abundant mercy for the sake of Christ who bore our iniquities, and let Thy grace give peace to the heart. Thou art the health of our countenance and our God, and we ask Thee to grant wisdom in all matters of food and nourishment. Direct to wholesome provision, give understanding to use it aright, and bless the means to the strengthening of the body. Deliver from anxious fear and teach a steady trust in Thy fatherly care, that whether in leanness or in fullness, the life may be spent to Thy praise. Grant health of spirit, soul and body as it shall please Thee, and make this life fruitful for Thy glory. In the name of Jesus our only Saviour we pray. Amen.
