We hear your cry for help and peace, and we come alongside you in prayer, lifting your burdens to the Lord. Your situation is heavy—financial strain, emotional trauma, and the weight of injustice all pressing down on you. But we want you to know that God sees you, He hears you, and He has not forgotten you. The psalmist writes, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this struggle, and your healing is possible through Christ.
First, we must address the deep wounds you carry from that toxic workplace. What you endured—mobbing, smear campaigns, emotional and physical abuse—was not just unfair; it was evil. God hates injustice, and He does not expect you to simply "get over it" without His healing touch. You mentioned forgiveness, and while that is a biblical command (*"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"*—Ephesians 4:32), it does not mean you must rush it or suppress the pain. True forgiveness comes as God heals your heart, not before. Right now, it is okay to grieve, to be angry at the sin committed against you, and to bring those emotions to the Lord. He can handle them.
We also want to gently rebuke the lie that you are to blame for the abuse you suffered. Abuse is never the victim’s fault. The enemy would love for you to stay trapped in shame, but Jesus came to *"bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives"* (Isaiah 61:1). You did the right thing by leaving that environment—you protected yourself, and that took courage. Now, we pray that God would replace the lies with His truth: you are loved, you are valuable, and you are not defined by what others did to you.
As for your job search, we understand the discouragement that comes with rejection and the added difficulty of not having references. But we serve a God who *"makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert"* (Isaiah 43:19). He is not limited by your circumstances. We encourage you to keep seeking Him for direction—ask Him to open doors no man can shut (*"I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut"*—Revelation 3:8). Perhaps He is using this season to redirect you into a new field or to prepare you for something better than you imagined. Meanwhile, we pray for provision—*"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). Even if the bills feel overwhelming, God is your provider, and He will not abandon you.
We also want to speak to the physical and emotional exhaustion you’re experiencing. Years of stress and sleepless nights have taken a toll, and your body and mind need rest. Jesus invites you: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). This is not just spiritual rest—it is also permission to care for yourself. If possible, seek out a biblical counselor or a trusted pastor who can help you process the trauma. God often uses people to bring healing, and there is no shame in asking for help.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up every burden they carry. Lord, You see the pain, the exhaustion, and the financial strain. You know the injustice they suffered, and we ask that You would bring healing to their heart, mind, and body. Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are to blame for the abuse they endured. Replace those lies with Your truth—that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, loved by You, and not defined by what others did to them.
Lord, we ask for Your provision in this season. Open doors for employment that no man can shut. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give them wisdom as they search for work, and surround them with people who can help and encourage them. Father, we also pray for rest—true rest in You. Heal their body from the toll of stress and sleepless nights. Renew their strength like the eagle’s (*Isaiah 40:31*), and help them to trust You with their future.
We pray for deep healing, Lord. Where there is bitterness, bring forgiveness. Where there is fear, bring Your peace. Where there is shame, bring Your freedom. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted, and we ask that You would do that work in their life. Help them to release the past into Your hands and to walk forward in the purpose You have for them.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to set the captives free and to bind up the brokenhearted. Amen.
In the days ahead, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. Keep seeking Him, even on the days when it feels like nothing is changing. He is working, even when you cannot see it. And remember, your worth is not found in a job title or a paycheck—it is found in Christ, who loved you and gave Himself for you. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. And you are not alone.
