I need help and peace please.

Beloved of All
I’m not able to find a job no matter how hard I try and the bills are piling up. It gets frustrating, Father in Jesus name, I ask for assistance. This stagnation is very concerning. I escaped a very toxic workplace and since then I’ve been trying to heal and also look for work. I’m getting discouraged. Some days I rest, other days I search for work but I can’t push myself too hard. I worked so much over 20 years in that environment and the trauma is still with me. Why can’t I find a good job. I don’t have references from that company because they lied on me while I was there and I left abruptly. Unfortunately, “bridges were burned”! due to mobbing, smear campaigns, and physical/emotional abuse. When I started there, I really expected to have togetherness with my fellow colleagues and never thought that middle management would pit us against each other. I never imagined that senior management would also be involved in the conspiracy to force me out. They couldn’t fire me so they used extreme tactics to make me miserable. I’m asking you Lord in Jesus name to heal me so that I can be ready for the next job. I escaped quietly but still have mixed emotions and blame myself for being abused and don’t know how to work through it. Most mornings are spent catching up on rest that sleepless nights and stress stole from me for years. Each day I remember all that I went through and need a way to finally get over it. Forgiveness is one way, but I need a deep healing.

We hear your cry for help and peace, and we come alongside you in prayer, lifting your burdens to the Lord. Your situation is heavy—financial strain, emotional trauma, and the weight of injustice all pressing down on you. But we want you to know that God sees you, He hears you, and He has not forgotten you. The psalmist writes, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this struggle, and your healing is possible through Christ.

First, we must address the deep wounds you carry from that toxic workplace. What you endured—mobbing, smear campaigns, emotional and physical abuse—was not just unfair; it was evil. God hates injustice, and He does not expect you to simply "get over it" without His healing touch. You mentioned forgiveness, and while that is a biblical command (*"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"*—Ephesians 4:32), it does not mean you must rush it or suppress the pain. True forgiveness comes as God heals your heart, not before. Right now, it is okay to grieve, to be angry at the sin committed against you, and to bring those emotions to the Lord. He can handle them.

We also want to gently rebuke the lie that you are to blame for the abuse you suffered. Abuse is never the victim’s fault. The enemy would love for you to stay trapped in shame, but Jesus came to *"bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives"* (Isaiah 61:1). You did the right thing by leaving that environment—you protected yourself, and that took courage. Now, we pray that God would replace the lies with His truth: you are loved, you are valuable, and you are not defined by what others did to you.

As for your job search, we understand the discouragement that comes with rejection and the added difficulty of not having references. But we serve a God who *"makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert"* (Isaiah 43:19). He is not limited by your circumstances. We encourage you to keep seeking Him for direction—ask Him to open doors no man can shut (*"I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut"*—Revelation 3:8). Perhaps He is using this season to redirect you into a new field or to prepare you for something better than you imagined. Meanwhile, we pray for provision—*"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). Even if the bills feel overwhelming, God is your provider, and He will not abandon you.

We also want to speak to the physical and emotional exhaustion you’re experiencing. Years of stress and sleepless nights have taken a toll, and your body and mind need rest. Jesus invites you: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). This is not just spiritual rest—it is also permission to care for yourself. If possible, seek out a biblical counselor or a trusted pastor who can help you process the trauma. God often uses people to bring healing, and there is no shame in asking for help.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up every burden they carry. Lord, You see the pain, the exhaustion, and the financial strain. You know the injustice they suffered, and we ask that You would bring healing to their heart, mind, and body. Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are to blame for the abuse they endured. Replace those lies with Your truth—that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, loved by You, and not defined by what others did to them.

Lord, we ask for Your provision in this season. Open doors for employment that no man can shut. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give them wisdom as they search for work, and surround them with people who can help and encourage them. Father, we also pray for rest—true rest in You. Heal their body from the toll of stress and sleepless nights. Renew their strength like the eagle’s (*Isaiah 40:31*), and help them to trust You with their future.

We pray for deep healing, Lord. Where there is bitterness, bring forgiveness. Where there is fear, bring Your peace. Where there is shame, bring Your freedom. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted, and we ask that You would do that work in their life. Help them to release the past into Your hands and to walk forward in the purpose You have for them.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who came to set the captives free and to bind up the brokenhearted. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. Keep seeking Him, even on the days when it feels like nothing is changing. He is working, even when you cannot see it. And remember, your worth is not found in a job title or a paycheck—it is found in Christ, who loved you and gave Himself for you. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. And you are not alone.

We're right here with you, friend. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share a few more things with you. First, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the quiet moments when it feels like He's far away. He's there, whispering His love for you, even when you can't hear it over the noise of life. Remember, He's not surprised by your circumstances. He sees your struggle, and He cares deeply.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face in this time. It might feel like you're just spinning your wheels, but every moment spent with Him is never wasted. He's using this time to draw you closer to Him, to teach you things you wouldn't learn any other way. Trust that He has a purpose in this, even if you can't see it yet.

In terms of your job search, we know it can be frustrating, but remember, God is not limited by your circumstances. He can open doors that no one can shut. Keep seeking Him for direction, and trust that He has a plan for you. It might not look like you expected, but it will be good.

And finally, we want to remind you that it's okay to not be okay all the time. It's okay to have bad days, to feel frustrated, to feel like giving up. What's not okay is to stay there. Keep taking steps forward, one day at a time. You're not alone in this. We're praying for you, and so is a big community of believers who care about you.

Keep holding on, friend. God's got you.
