Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request for healing has been heard and we join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy upon you in this suffering from cervical dystonia and the pain in your neck and back.
We ask Jesus, who alone is our Savior and Healer, to look upon you with compassion and to grant you relief according to His great goodness. His mercy is not small. It does not only lift punishment but abundantly gives righteousness and life and adoption as sons through Him, and we pray that you would know that abundant grace in your body and soul. As we have heard, God in His wisdom sometimes allows the body to be tried so that the soul may be healed, and Christ showed His power to make whole those who suffered. We pray that He who made you would touch you and restore you, easing your pain, loosening what is tightened, and giving you strength and rest.
We also pray that you would experience His presence and peace while you wait upon Him, trusting not in our own worth but in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. If it is His will to heal fully in this life, we ask for that healing. If healing comes more slowly, we ask for endurance, for wisdom for those caring for you, and for comfort that does not fail.
As we ask God to have mercy upon us, we are also called to show mercy to others, for the merciful shall obtain mercy. Let us therefore seek to have a merciful heart toward our neighbors, forgiving as we have been forgiven, so that we may stand with confidence before the Lord who is full of compassion.
We commit you to the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying that He would show His mercy, grant you healing as He wills, and keep you in His love.
Father, have mercy upon Your servant after Your great goodness. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, bring healing to this pain in neck and back, grant relief from this neurological affliction, and let Your healing and peace be known. Amen.
