We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for help. Father God, we know that You are the Provider, the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and the One who supplies all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We stand in the gap for this dear one, asking for Your miraculous intervention in their financial situation. Lord, we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). Guide them to wise counsel, provide opportunities for honest work, and grant them favor in the eyes of those who can help.
We also bring before You the fear and distress caused by the threats from this individual. Lord, Your Word tells us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of intimidation and fear in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2). Father, we ask that You send Your angels to encamp around them, to protect and defend them from any harm (Psalm 34:7). Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the wisdom to know how to respond or seek help from the proper authorities if necessary.
Lord, we also want to gently remind this dear one that true peace and salvation are found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that they would do so today. Confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, and they will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Father, we pray for a transformation of heart for the one making these threats. Soften their heart, Lord, and lead them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their harmful actions. We ask that You would work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. Strengthen this dear one with Your might and fill them with hope as they wait on You. Remind them that those who seek You shall not lack any good thing (Psalm 34:10). We declare Your promises over their life and stand firm in faith, believing that You are working even now on their behalf.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
