I need a miracle

I hear the desperation in your request, and the weight of facing unemployment yet again must feel crushing. When the ground keeps shifting under you, it is easy to wonder if God has turned away.

The ancient man Job knew this kind of shock. He lost his livelihood, his financial security, and even his health in rapid succession, and he had no idea why. His friends were certain he must have done something wrong to deserve it all, but they were mistaken. Not every hardship is punishment. Sometimes God permits what we cannot understand, not because He has stopped loving us, but because He is working something deeper than we can yet grasp.

You might be asking, “Why a third time?” Job cried out for an audience with God, desperate for an explanation that never came during his trial. Yet behind the scenes, a purpose was unfolding that he could not see. God had not abandoned him; He was present even in the silence. Job’s honesty before God, his tears, his confusion, his refusal to pretend he understood, was not held against him. The Lord heard every word, and in due time He spoke peace into the storm.

In the middle of Job’s anguish, he longed for a mediator, someone who could lay his hand on both God and man and bridge the distance he felt. That cry finds its answer in Jesus Christ. He stands with you in the job hunt that goes nowhere, in the bills that pile up, in the fear that this will never end. He does not condemn you; He intercedes for you and carries you.

I will not give you trite answers or pretend to know exactly why this is happening. But I hold on to this: God is working even when it looks like He has forsaken you. Job’s name became a byword for patient endurance, and in the end, God restored him in ways he could never have scripted. While you wait for your breakthrough, lean into the Lord’s presence. Tell Him honestly how you feel, He can carry your grief. Ask Him for daily bread and for the grace to see small mercies. Trust that His timing is not a denial of your need but a preparation for something you cannot yet see.

I am praying with you for a job and for financial relief. May you find that Christ Himself is your unshakable security, and may He open the right door in a way that leaves no doubt of His faithfulness. Keep seeking Him, not only for the miracle, but because He is the One who will hold you steady until it comes.
