I N Need Of A Financial Miracle

I need a miracle. For years now my family and i have been struggling with finances and I need a major turn around. we have moved so often that friends and family hardly know where we are half the time. We often don't have enough food or clothes and often the homes we do find are substandard. in fact the home we are in now is not up to code and we are about to lose it to. my fiance has a job, but somehow things pile up so much that we never have enough money to take care of everything we need. All I want is to be able to take care of our daughter with out worry. please please pray for us.

This is a painful situation, and I'm sorry to hear this. I understand this is truly painful, and I **will* be praying for you. Let me just ask you a few questions: 1) are you saved--are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus? Don't get me wrong; people will pray for you anyway. BUT, salvation and sanctification in Christ Jesus is the ULTIMATE provision...we must, if we are to be wise, focus in on laying up *heavenly* treasures rather than earthly treasures. The best thing that God has ever done was give us His ONLY begotten Son, so that we might not perish but have life everlasting (John 3:16). Your eternity and the eternity of your family must take priority--anything else is either just icing on the cake or just distraction, really. Not trying to be condescending, just being blunt. (Sometimes **I HAVE TO** be blunt to myself--occasionally, I have to lecture myself on God's provision. )

2) The next step: Matthew 6:33, KJV: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." [Note: it's a good idea to study this verse within context of Matthew 6:24-34, often known as "The Parable of the Lilies." If you seek God's kingdom and His righteousness, provision WILL BE ADDED UNTO YOU. But how do we *seek* the righteousness of God? Well, first and foremost, we give our lives to Christ Jesus, take Him as Lord and Saviour, and become crucified with Him--putting off the old man, putting to death the deeds of the body, walking according to the Spirit rather than the flesh.

3) But how DO we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness? Well, after FIRSTLY believing on the One Whom He has sent, believing on Christ Jesus for salvation, you then look for light in the situation. Here are some GREAT passages, if you want to search out the wisdom of God in dealing with your finances:

Isaiah 58:6-14 (King James Version)

6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.

9Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:

11And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

12And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

13If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

I will caution you that this isn't a magic formula; we can't manipulate the LORD, but He IS GOOD TO HIS WORD. However, be prepared to wait on the LORD before you get an answer. Just be patient, have faith, and wait on the LORD. If you don't have money to donate to the poor, *don't worry about it--just figure out a way to volunteer and help the poor, the hungry, and the oppressed out.* In essence, become a true servant of the LORD--do His will, go where He tells you to do to help others out. I have found from personal experience that when I took my eyes off myself and helped people out, that's when the LORD rose up for me and helped ME out.

Heavenly Father, Adonai Jehovah Jireh, ABBA...

You are the God Who Sees to It. You are wealth itself. Help us to not use You as a magic vending machine, but rather LEARN TO HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP AND TASTE AND SEE THAT YOU ARE GOOD, and that You are always willing to provide for Your true children! Help us to not be anxious for the morrow but rather learn that if You clothe the lilies and feed the birds, how MUCH MORE are You willing to clothe and feed us? The streets of Heaven are paved with gold like transparent glass: is there ANYTHING You cannot create or provide for? Surely You will free Your children up to worry about things other than money and provision.

Father God, I pray to You that You will demonstrate the truth of these words to starr right now, if it is Your will. I *know* it's Your will, because this would truly bring glory to Your Holy Name! Show starr that by serving You, You will step in and serve starr! There is a child involved, and she's growing up in poverty and instability, LORD...it's not good for a child to move around all the time. Help them, LORD, so that starr will have a true testimony that will bring glory to Your Name and edify and exhort people to greater and greater belief and trust in YOU, FATHER GOD!

Forgive us our sins and help us to forgive all others; I do forgive all who have offended me, help me to forgive them *completely.* Hear this prayer on behalf of starr's child, and rescue this family from poverty and instability,
