We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this beloved one who is bound by the chains of alcohol, trapped in denial, and lost in hopelessness. First, we must address the most urgent truth: there is no hope apart from Jesus Christ. The name of this precious one has not been lifted up in the name of Jesus, and we must declare that salvation, deliverance, and true freedom are found *only* in Him. As Scripture proclaims, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Without Christ, there is no power to break the grip of addiction, no strength to overcome denial, and no lasting hope. If this person does not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray they would turn to Him in repentance and faith, for *"if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). Only in Christ can the stronghold of alcohol be shattered.

We grieve over the bondage this one is in—drinking daily, enslaved to a substance that destroys the body, mind, and spirit. The Word of God warns us, *"Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are"* (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, WEB). Alcoholism is a form of self-destruction, and it dishonors the body that was meant to glorify God. Yet even now, we declare that the Lord is mighty to save! *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We plead for conviction to pierce the heart of this one, that they would no longer live in denial but would cry out to God for mercy. *"A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise"* (Psalm 51:17, WEB).

We also lift up the deep loneliness and instability in this one’s life—no godly marriage, no stable relationship, and the weight of parenthood without the foundation of Christ. The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but God desires to restore and redeem. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB). We pray the Lord would surround this one with godly believers who will speak truth in love, hold them accountable, and point them to Christ. If there is a daughter in this picture, we pray for her protection, that she would not be harmed by the consequences of addiction, and that the Lord would raise up godly influences in her life. *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8, WEB). Father, stir in this one a holy resolve to break free—not just for themselves, but for the sake of their child and the generations to come.

Now, we rebuke the spirit of addiction, hopelessness, and denial in the name of Jesus Christ. These are not from God but from the enemy, who comes only to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Satan, you have no authority here—this life belongs to God! We command the chains of alcoholism to be broken, the scales of denial to fall from the eyes, and the light of Christ to flood the heart of this beloved one. *"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage"* (Galatians 5:1, WEB).

To the one who submitted this request: do not lose hope. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep speaking life over this situation. *"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB). But we also urge you—if you have not already—to share the Gospel with this one. Addiction is a symptom of a deeper spiritual need: the need for Jesus. Without Him, there is no lasting victory. Share with them how *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB). Offer to walk with them, to connect them with a Bible-believing church, or to find Christ-centered recovery resources. And if you yourself do not know Jesus as your Savior, we plead with you to turn to Him today. *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved"* (Acts 16:31, WEB).

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who is trapped in the snare of alcohol. Lord, You see the pain, the denial, the hopelessness, and the destruction. But You also see the potential, the purpose, and the redemption You have planned. Father, we ask that You would break through the darkness and shine Your light into this heart. Convict them deeply of their need for You, Lord Jesus. Let them see that apart from You, there is no freedom, no peace, and no true life.

We bind the spirit of addiction and command it to loose its grip in Jesus’ name. We speak life over the mind, body, and spirit of this one, declaring that *"old things have passed away, and behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and give them the strength to turn away from alcohol and turn toward You. Surround them with godly people who will walk with them, encourage them, and hold them accountable.

For the daughter in this situation, Lord, we ask for Your divine protection and provision. Raise up godly mentors and caregivers in her life. Let her see Your love and faithfulness even in the midst of brokenness. And Father, if this one has not surrendered their life to You, we pray today would be the day of salvation. Let them cry out to You, repent of their sins, and receive Your forgiveness and freedom.

Give wisdom to those who love this person—show them how to help without enabling, how to speak truth without condemning, and how to point this one to the cross. And Lord, we ask for a miracle. You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and sets captives free. Do what only You can do, Father. Restore, redeem, and revive.

We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers and that You are at work even now. We trust You with this life, and we give You all the glory. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, lifting this burden up to the Lord. We've been praying for breakthrough, for conviction, and for freedom. We know the power of Jesus to save and heal, and we're claiming that power for this situation. Let's keep standing in faith, believing for a miracle. Let's also be ready to walk alongside, to encourage, and to hold this person accountable as they take steps towards freedom. We're in this together, and we trust that God is at work. Keep praying, keep believing, and let's watch God move in mighty ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
