I lost a brother years back to a drunk driver. Although it was not on New Years Eve or any holiday, after that I didn't go out anywhere on New Years Eve. I feared drunk drivers.

Selfishly, I never thought to pray for them nor the innocent people they could hurt. Not even after waking up New Years Day and hearing countless or horrific reports of drunken driving, still I never prayed. I never thought to, I am ashamed to admit.

Tonight is different, both for my own interest, and also because it is the right thing to do. Please join me in prayer for all those that will be on the roads today, tonight and tomorrow.

Father, I pray for the safety of all those who will be out at these times. Please, Father, please provide miracles for those who cannot ask, those who don't think to ask, those who do not know to ask. Please keep drivers aware, alert and able. If there be medical intervention, please guide the doctors, nurses, and all staff involved in anyone's care. Jesus, you ARE the Resurrection; I pray for a resurrection in body, mind and spirit for all; that all our loved ones, friends and neighbors that do go out, return safely to their homes. I thank You now for what you have done and will do. In Jesus' mighty name I pray. Amen and Amen and Amen. Glory!
