I just got off the phone with the IRS and I have 90 days to pay them over seven thousand dollars or they will clear out my bank account and attach my wages. I am no longer allowed to claim my children on my tax return, and am not able to afford my monthly expenses at Single zero, so this year I will owe about $1500 on top of the over $7300 I currently owe. I do not receive public benefits or assistance at this time and I work full time to support my two children and myself with no roommates. ###'s dad gives me $150 per month and was allowing me to claim ### before the IRS accused me of having NO dependents. ###'s dad lives in a two income household and respects the fact that two children are a hardship on me. He also appreciates seeing his son at least 3 days per week without a current child support obligation and without having to go to court to have more than weekend custody.
###'s dad feels that he should be entitled to see his son three days per week, call it 50% custody, not have to pay child support, and claim ### on his tax return. He also controls who his childcare provider is and pretends he pays her. He has never given me a dime, not even when ### and I were in the homeless shelter. He too lives in a dual income household, drives a new car, and wears new clothes. He found out that by having his girlfriend get medical benefits for my son, he could pretend to be his custodial parent in the eyes of the IRS. I had my son on medi-cal and declined to allow them to attach his wages. Pretty generous of me right? He lost his medical because they found a way to get more money in their pockets at the expense of my children and I. You see, I let my children see their fathers because I love my children. I am more than fair. I ask for nothing other than my 3k per year tax return.
I claimed both children last year. I use this money to survive and it is usually depleted by the end of the year. I buy clothes at the thrift store and only when needed. I cannot afford a car payment. I have no roommate. I do nothing for me. I cut my own hair at home. I do not own any designer things. I am asking that all of my loved ones please pray for my children and I. If ###'s dad is able to succeed and cost me 10k so that he can have an extra 3k in spending money, I will lose more than what I have. My children are my everything and have lost them to hardship before. Unlike him, I am not fighting for money. I am fighting to be able to support my two kids. I do not want any money from anyone I know, even when the IRS takes part of my paycheck. I have come this far and I refuse to give up now. Just pray for us, that is all I ask.
