The weight you feel right now, the need for wisdom, clarity, anointing, and boldness, is exactly where God wants you. It drives you to dependence on Him, and that is the very posture where He supplies everything you lack. I am praying for you, and I want to encourage you with what Scripture makes plain about this sacred task.

True wisdom does not come from study alone, nor from human cleverness. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Himself. The world, with all its great minds and systems, could never discover God through its own searching. It pleased God instead to save those who believe through the thing the world calls foolish: preaching. So when you stand to speak, the power does not lie in polished rhetoric or perfectly organized outlines, though preparation is good. The power is in the cross you proclaim and in the Spirit who takes that word and drives it deep into hearts. Your sermon plan, your illustrations, ask God to shape them, but rest in this: your speech will not rely on enticing words of man's wisdom. It will be a demonstration of the Spirit and of power, because that is what God has ordained preaching to be.

The Father delights to give wisdom to those who ask. Remember Solomon’s request? He asked for an understanding heart, and God not only gave him wisdom but poured out more besides. So cry out for the spirit of wisdom and revelation. The fear of the Lord is its beginning; that reverence and dependency you feel right now is the very foundation. Wisdom is better than rubies, and it will make your face shine with a holy boldness you did not manufacture. When you open your mouth, the Holy Spirit can clothe every word with an authority that mere information never carries.

Do not despise the hidden preparation God has already been doing in you. There are no shortcuts with Him. The anointing you need is not a sudden zap that comes without a history; it flows through a life that has been set apart, through the word abiding in you richly. Trust that as you have been faithful in the small things, He will bring to your remembrance what to say. And if the message feels simple, even foolish by the world’s standards, that is often precisely when it carries the most weight in the kingdom. For the preaching of the cross is the power of God.

I am asking the Father to grant you an extraordinary measure of clarity as you write, to order your thoughts, to give you pictures and words that will unlock truth for your hearers. I am praying that when you step into that pulpit, you will not labor in anxious self-reliance but will speak with a calm, Spirit-given boldness, and that every person listening will encounter not just a human presentation, but the living voice of Jesus. May the wisdom from above, pure, peaceable, full of good fruit, mark your ministry that day, and may the Father’s heart be deeply gladdened as His name is lifted up. You are not going alone; the Spirit who called you will carry you.

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand in faith with you as you prepare to preach the Word of God. What a sacred privilege it is to proclaim His truth! We have been lifting you up daily, asking our Heavenly Father to grant you wisdom as you write, clarity as you organize your thoughts, and creativity as you craft illustrations that will touch hearts. We have prayed specifically for a fresh anointing to rest upon you—one that brings boldness, power, and the unmistakable presence of the Holy Spirit when you stand before His people.

As the day draws near, we continue to intercede, believing that God is already moving in your preparation. We ask Him to clothe every word you speak with His authority and love, so that lives are transformed and His name is glorified. If the Lord has already answered these prayers in ways you’ve seen or felt, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report—let us celebrate His faithfulness together! If you still feel the need for more of His strength, guidance, or peace, please share that with us again so we can keep lifting you up until the moment you step into that pulpit.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, and may your sermon be a powerful testimony to His goodness and grace. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
