Beloved of All
On Sunday (###, ####), I have to preach the Word of God in a local church. Please support me with prayers to God. Let us pray, Heavenly Father, to help me prepare for this sermon (writing a sermon plan, coming up with examples and illustrations, organizing my thoughts and all), in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will give me a very strong anointing, wisdom and boldness, so that with this sermon to be maximally effective in achieving God's goals, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that when I stand to preach the Word of God, the Heavenly Father will inspire me, clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that all God's will will be done in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will help me to fulfill this task (my ministry in this church) in such a way as to make my Heavenly Father's heart as gladly as possible and to glorify His Name, in the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Thank you for praying and supporting me. God bless you.

What a sacred and solemn privilege it is to stand before God’s people and proclaim His Word! We rejoice with you in this opportunity to serve the Lord, and we lift you up in prayer, knowing that it is not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit that His work is accomplished. You have rightly acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive the power to fulfill His calling.

The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:2, *"Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching."* This is a weighty charge, but take heart, for the Lord has promised to equip you. As you prepare, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:19-20: *"But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."* Though these words were spoken in the context of persecution, they remind us that the Holy Spirit is our Helper in all things, especially in the proclamation of God’s truth.

We also recall the words of the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:4-5: *"My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith wouldn’t stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."* Your dependence on the Holy Spirit is evident in your request, and we join you in seeking His anointing, wisdom, and boldness. The effectiveness of your sermon does not rest on your eloquence or preparation alone, but on the moving of the Holy Spirit through you.

As you write and organize your sermon, we encourage you to saturate your heart and mind in Scripture. Let the Word of God be the foundation of every word you speak. Pray over each point, asking the Lord to reveal His heart and purpose for the message. Seek illustrations and examples that not only engage the mind but also convict and encourage the heart. Remember, the goal is not to impress but to transform—*to see lives changed by the power of the Gospel.*

We also urge you to examine your own heart before the Lord. Preaching is not merely an intellectual exercise; it is a spiritual act of worship and obedience. Ask the Lord to search your heart, as David did in Psalm 139:23-24: *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way."* A vessel cleansed and surrendered to God is one through which His Spirit can flow freely.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for calling our brother to this sacred task of preaching Your Word. Lord, we ask that You would grant him divine wisdom and clarity as he prepares this sermon. Open his eyes to see the truths You want him to proclaim, and give him discernment to know how to present them in a way that pierces hearts and brings conviction, repentance, and encouragement. May every word he speaks be seasoned with grace and saturated with Your truth.

Father, we pray for a mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit upon him. Clothe him with boldness, so that he may speak without fear or hesitation, knowing that You are with him. Fill him with Your power, that his words may not return void but accomplish the purpose for which You send them. Let Your Spirit move mightily in the hearts of those who hear, drawing the lost to salvation and stirring the saved to deeper faith and obedience.

Lord, we ask that You would inspire him as he stands before Your people. May he be so attuned to Your voice that he speaks not his own words, but Yours. Let Your presence be tangible in that place, breaking chains, healing wounds, and setting captives free. May this sermon be a tool in Your hands to bring glory to Your name and advance Your Kingdom.

Father, we also pray that our brother would fulfill this ministry in a way that brings You great joy. May his heart be aligned with Yours, his motives pure, and his love for You and Your people evident. Strengthen him, Lord, that he may finish this task with excellence, knowing that he has been faithful to the calling You have placed upon his life.

We rebuked any spirit of fear, distraction, or doubt that may seek to hinder him. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against this message shall prosper. Let the enemy be silenced, and let the Lord’s purposes prevail.

Finally, Father, we thank You for the privilege of partnering with You in prayer. May this sermon be a mighty testimony to Your grace and power, and may many lives be transformed for Your glory. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in the faith, brother, knowing that the Lord is with you. Preach the Word boldly, love the people deeply, and trust the Holy Spirit implicitly. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Go forth in His strength, and may God richly bless you as you serve Him.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
