Beloved of All
On Sunday (###, ####), I have to preach the Word of God in a local church. Please support me with prayers to God. Let us pray, Heavenly Father, to help me prepare for this sermon (writing a sermon plan, coming up with examples and illustrations, organizing my thoughts and all), in the Name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God will give me a very strong anointing, wisdom and boldness, so that with this sermon to be maximally effective in achieving God's goals, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that when I stand to preach the Word of God, the Heavenly Father will inspire me, clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that all God's will will be done in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will help me to fulfill this task (my ministry in this church) in such a way as to make my Heavenly Father's heart as gladly as possible and to glorify His Name, in the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Thank you for praying and supporting me. God bless you.

What a sacred and solemn privilege it is to stand before God’s people and proclaim His Word! We rejoice with you in this opportunity to serve the Lord, and we lift you up in prayer, knowing that it is not by human strength or wisdom but by the power of the Holy Spirit that lives are transformed. You have rightly acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ as the foundation of your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that every knee must bow. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your heart’s posture—seeking God’s glory above all—aligns with the call of every preacher, as Paul charged Timothy: *"Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching"* (2 Timothy 4:2, WEB).

We pray fervently that the Lord will grant you divine clarity as you prepare this sermon. May He open the Scriptures to you as He did for the disciples on the road to Emmaus, setting your heart ablaze with the truth of His Word (Luke 24:32). Let the Holy Spirit guide your mind to the precise passages, illustrations, and applications that will pierce hearts and draw souls to repentance and faith. Remember, *"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work"* (2 Timothy 3:16-17, WEB). Your preparation is not merely an intellectual exercise but a spiritual battle—so we ask the Lord to guard your time, to silence distractions, and to fill you with His peace as you labor in His strength.

We cry out for a mighty anointing upon you, that you would preach not with the wisdom of men but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power (1 Corinthians 2:4). May the Lord clothe you with boldness, as He did the early disciples, so that you speak His Word *"with all boldness, while You stretch out Your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus"* (Acts 4:29-30, WEB). Let every word you utter be saturated with the authority of heaven, breaking chains of doubt, convicting of sin, and igniting faith in those who hear. Pray also that the congregation would come with softened hearts, ready to receive the truth, for *"the Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient, in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth"* (2 Timothy 2:24-25, WEB).

Brother, we exhort you to preach the whole counsel of God without compromise. If the Lord leads you to address sin—whether it be idolatry, sexual immorality, greed, or any other transgression—do so with love but without hesitation, for *"faithful are the wounds of a friend"* (Proverbs 27:6, WEB). The pulpit is not a place for tickling ears but for declaring, *"Thus says the Lord."* And if you sense the Spirit prompting you to call people to salvation, do so urgently, for *"now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2, WEB). Remind them that Jesus is the only way, the only truth, and the only life (John 14:6), and that apart from Him, all are lost.

As you stand before the people, may you be keenly aware that you are first and foremost a servant of Christ, accountable to Him alone. Preach as one who will give an account (Hebrews 13:17), yet rest in the knowledge that *"if anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God"* (1 Peter 4:11, WEB). The results are not yours to control—only the sowing. Trust that the Lord will water the seeds you plant, for His Word *"will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do"* (Isaiah 55:11, WEB).

Finally, we pray that this sermon would bring immense joy to the heart of the Father, that souls would be saved, saints edified, and the name of Jesus lifted high above all else. May you leave the pulpit empty of yourself but overflowing with the satisfaction of having been a faithful vessel for His glory. And when the task is done, may you echo the words of Jesus: *"I have glorified You on the earth. I have accomplished the work which You have given me to do"* (John 17:4, WEB).

**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with gratitude and reverence, lifting up our brother who has been entrusted with the sacred task of preaching Your Word. Lord, You alone know the hearts of those who will hear this message, and You alone can prepare both the messenger and the audience for what You intend to accomplish. We ask that You would grant him supernatural wisdom as he studies, divine inspiration as he writes, and holy boldness as he delivers Your truth. Fill him with Your Spirit, Lord, so that every word is anointed, every illustration purposeful, and every application sharp as a two-edged sword. Let no fear of man hinder him, but may he speak as one approved by You, a workman who does not need to be ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15).

Father, we pray for a harvest. Softening hearts that are hard, opening eyes that are blind, and setting captives free by the power of Your Word. Let this sermon be a catalyst for repentance, revival, and transformation in that congregation. And Lord, we ask that You would protect our brother from the schemes of the enemy—from pride, from distraction, from spiritual attack. Clothe him in Your armor, and let him stand firm in the day of battle (Ephesians 6:10-18).

May this sermon be a sweet-smelling sacrifice to You, bringing You glory and advancing Your kingdom. And when it is done, Lord, fill our brother with Your peace, knowing that he has been faithful to the call You placed upon him. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise. Amen.

We're right there with you, brother, as you prepare to preach God's Word this Sunday. Let's pray together, shall we?

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying our brother's preaching ministry at your feet. Lord, You know the weight of responsibility that comes with standing before Your people and declaring Your truth. We ask that You would grant him clarity as he studies and prepares. Help him to understand Your Word in a deeper way, and guide his mind to the precise passages, illustrations, and applications that will pierce hearts and draw souls to You.

Fill him, Lord, with Your Holy Spirit. Let every word he speaks be anointed, every illustration purposeful, and every application sharp as a two-edged sword. Give him boldness, Lord, like that of the early disciples, so that he may speak Your Word with all boldness.

We also pray for the congregation, Lord. Softening hearts that are hard, opening eyes that are blind, and setting captives free by the power of Your Word. Let this sermon be a catalyst for repentance, revival, and transformation in that congregation.

And Lord, we ask that You would protect our brother from the schemes of the enemy - from pride, from distraction, from spiritual attack. Clothe him in Your armor, and let him stand firm in the day of battle.

May this sermon be a sweet-smelling sacrifice to You, bringing You glory and advancing Your kingdom. And when it's done, Lord, fill our brother with Your peace, knowing that he has been faithful to the call You placed upon him.

In Jesus' mighty and matchless name, we pray. Amen.
