Beloved of All
I have sinned through pornography and masturbation. Please pray for me—for God's mercy, forgiveness, and deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that God helps me confess my sin and truly repent... please pray for me to receive salvation and deliverance in the name of Christ.

We hear your honest confession and we thank you for bringing this sin into the light before God, for it is a courageous and necessary step toward healing. We do not take lightly what you have shared, and we stand with you now in prayer seeking God's mercy, forgiveness, and deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Word of God is clear that pornography and masturbation are not harmless struggles but are sin rooted in lust and sexual immorality. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. Scripture also commands us in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to flee sexual immorality, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. And in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 we are reminded, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. These acts defile the temple God has given us and turn the good gift of sexuality, which God designed to be expressed only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman as in Hebrews 13:4, into something selfish and impure. We must call it what God calls it so that true repentance can take place, and we say this not to condemn you but to lead you to freedom, for godly sorrow works repentance to salvation which brings no regret, as written in 2 Corinthians 7:10.

Yet we also rejoice that you are seeking mercy and truly want to confess and repent, for that is the very heart God desires. The promise of God is sure in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And in Proverbs 28:13, He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. When we turn to Jesus in humble confession and faith, He not only forgives but removes our sin from us, for as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us in Psalm 103:12. There is no sin too great for the blood of Christ to cleanse if we come to Him in truth.

True repentance means more than sorrow, it means turning away and walking in a new direction by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to make a decisive break, to flee temptation and cut off every source that feeds this sin, for Jesus taught us to deal radically with what causes us to stumble. We urge you to bring this struggle into the light with a mature, godly brother in Christ or a pastor for ongoing accountability, as James 5:16 says, Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. Fill the place this sin has held with the Word of God, with prayer, with worship, and with walking by the Spirit, for Galatians 5:16 says, Walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. And remember the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. God will make a way of escape if you look for it and take it.

We also hear your cry for salvation and deliverance, and we praise God that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved as in Acts 4:12, and it is only through Him we have access to the Father. If you have not yet fully surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to believe with your whole heart that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and to confess Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Salvation is not only forgiveness but new creation, for 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. And Jesus Himself promised in John 8:36, If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our brother who has humbly confessed his sin of pornography and masturbation. Lord, have mercy upon him according to Your unfailing love. We ask that You forgive him completely through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, cleanse him from all unrighteousness, and create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him as in Psalm 51:10. Grant him the gift of true repentance that turns fully from this sin and turns toward You. Break the chains of lust and addiction that have bound him, and set him free indeed by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Help him to flee every temptation, to make no provision for the flesh, and to walk in purity and self-control. Fill his mind with Your Word and his heart with Your presence, so that he may present his body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You in Romans 12:1. Strengthen him when he is tempted, remind him that You have made a way of escape, and surround him with godly counsel and accountability. Assure him of Your forgiveness and of his salvation in Christ, that he may walk not in shame but in the joy of one who has been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. We ask that You keep him, sanctify him, and lead him into a life that glorifies You in spirit, soul, and body. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to pray continually, to fast as the Lord leads, and to remain in fellowship where you can be strengthened. If you fall, do not remain in hiding, but quickly confess, receive His mercy again, and keep pressing forward. God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

We appreciate your honesty in coming forward with this. It takes humility to name what has been hidden and to ask for mercy, and we hear your deep desire to turn toward Jesus and walk in freedom.

We want you to know you are not alone in this struggle. Many believers have wrestled with the same pattern and with the guilt and discouragement that comes with it. Wanting to confess and truly repent is itself a sign God is at work in your heart, drawing you toward His grace.

Healing in this area is often less like a single moment and more like learning to walk day by day. As you seek the Lord, it can help to bring this into the light with one trusted person, a pastor or mature believer who can listen without shame and pray with you regularly. Putting practical helps in place, like filtering devices and honest accountability, can also support the direction you want to go.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your mercy. Forgive his sin through Jesus Christ, cleanse his heart, and give him strength to confess and turn from what has held him. Fill him with Your Spirit, teach him to walk in Your ways, and assure him of Your grace as he grows. Lead him step by step into freedom and deeper life with You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry for mercy has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, beseeching the Lord for you in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have done well to confess your sin plainly and to seek not an excuse for it but deliverance from it. The soul that trembles and shakes for fear and with a penitent heart desires forgiveness shall not be turned away. For there is forgiveness with God, and it is a divine forgiveness. Hear the word of the Lord, I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. Were all men to hiss at you and cast you out, yet if God forgives you, you are forgiven indeed. It is a surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that God himself speaks as one wondering at its greatness, I, even I. If you have been the chief of sinners, there is forgiveness for the chief of sinners, and God can bestow it now. It is a complete forgiveness, not a part of the debt remitted but the whole blotted out, and an eternal forgiveness through the blood of Christ, who suffered, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. There is forgiveness, and that forgiveness is to be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son alone. Look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only, for in Him we have full forgiveness.

Yet take heed how you judge your own repentance, for there is a repentance after a fashion which is not of that holy, healthy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. Judgment may produce a carnal repentance, a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of the sinful nature of men. It is fallen nature washed and brushed, but allowed to remain fallen nature still. The heart is not renewed, the life is not regenerated, the mind is not changed. Such repentance gives no glory to God and leads to no saving and lasting deliverance from sin. True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. It makes a man weep and abhor his past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it makes him avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for him. Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant, and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart, must go together. Ask then, what is your repentance? Is it one that leads you to look to Christ alone to save you? Evangelical repentance is one of the fruits of the Gospel of forgiveness and no other tree can produce it. Pray that the Lord would work such a repentance in you, a repentance that needs not to be repented of, which makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work.

And be assured that the Lord is mighty to deliver. We have a far richer theme than Deborah had, for we have been delivered from worse enemies and saved by a greater salvation. The Lord Jesus Christ is able to save and to keep and to set free those who are long in bondage. His ear is not shut to the penitent, and His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. He brings deliverance to those who confess and forsake their sin and trust in Him.

We pray for you now, that God would grant you this mercy.

O Lord God, who hast revealed that there is forgiveness with Thee that Thou mayest be feared, look in compassion upon this soul who confesses sin before Thee. For Jesus sake blot out transgressions, cleanse the conscience, and speak peace through the blood of the cross. Work in this heart by Thy Holy Spirit that true repentance which gives Thee glory, which turns from sin with abhorrence and turns to Christ with living faith. Grant deliverance from every snare and chain, strengthen to flee all impurity and to walk in newness of life, and keep by Thy power through faith unto salvation. Make this repentance to be joined with simple faith in Christ alone, who is the sole master of the heart, and let it bring forth living works to Thy praise. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because there is forgiveness with Thee, and because Jesus died, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, have mercy on this your servant who confesses his sin before You. In the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, forgive him through the blood shed on the cross, cleanse him from all unrighteousness, and grant him the gift of true repentance. Grant godly sorrow that leads to salvation, a sorrow that bears fruit in a changed life. Deliver him from the power of pornography and masturbation, break every chain and habit, guard his eyes and his heart, and renew his mind by Your Word and Your Holy Spirit. Teach him to flee temptation, to walk in purity, and to seek help and accountability within the body of Christ. Confirm in him the assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and give him strength to stand and not return to this sin. Let this time of delay be for him comfort and opportunity to be fully delivered and established in holiness. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone saves. Amen.
