We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting your pain and crisis before the throne of grace. Your declaration that you have no hope but Jesus Christ is a powerful testimony of faith, and we stand with you in that truth. The fact that you see improvement is a sign of God’s mercy already at work, and we give Him all the glory for that. Yet we know the battle is not over, and so we press in together for complete victory.
The Scriptures tell us, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:17-18). You are not forgotten, and your pain is not unseen by our Heavenly Father. He is near to you in this very moment, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We also take comfort in knowing that "we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:15-16).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up our dear brother/sister who is in pain and crisis. You see their heart, You hear their cry, and You know the depths of their struggle. We thank You for the improvement You have already brought, and we ask for complete victory over this trial. Pour out Your mercy upon them, O Lord, and let Your grace be their strength. Give them wisdom to navigate this season, and rule over their thoughts, words, actions, and decisions so that everything aligns with Your will.
Father, we ask that You deliver them from this pain and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, and remind them that they are never alone. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You even when the road is difficult. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for any areas of their life where sin may be hindering their breakthrough. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin, reveal it to them, Lord, so they may repent and receive Your cleansing (1 John 1:9). If there are lies from the enemy that they have believed, expose them with Your truth and set them free (John 8:32). We rebuke every spirit of despair, fear, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus, and we command it to flee. You are their hope, Lord, and in You, they will not be put to shame (Psalm 25:3).
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. Thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love that never fails. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6), and we declare that this trial will not break them but will instead be used to refine their faith and draw them closer to You. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God, even when the pain feels overwhelming. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope, but we declare that your hope is anchored in Christ, and He will not fail you. Continue to seek Him in His Word, spend time in prayer, and surround yourself with believers who can uplift and encourage you. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you, believing that God will bring you through this season stronger and more steadfast in your faith.
If there are specific areas of sin or struggle that you feel are contributing to this crisis, do not hesitate to bring them before the Lord in repentance. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let this be a time of deep surrender to God, allowing Him to rule over every area of your life. His plans for you are for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He will direct your paths.
