The fear of the Lord, this reverent trust you are showing even through tears, is where wisdom starts. And that wisdom is far more precious than anything this world offers.

Wisdom from above is not mere facts; it is pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy. Right now, you are asking God for that very mercy, for His strength, and for Him to rule your thoughts and actions. That prayer itself is evidence of His wisdom working in you, because true wisdom teaches us that our own strength will fail. If you look within yourself for a secret reserve of power to endure, you will eventually fall short. But when you trust in the Lord as your strength, you are drawing from a supply that never runs dry. He is your light and your salvation, of whom shall you be afraid? The Lord is the strength of your life.

You have asked for mercy, and mercy is exactly what meets you in Jesus Christ. In Him, mercy and truth have come together. God is plenteous in mercy to those who cry out to Him. He does not receive you because you are holy or strong, but because He is gracious. Turn to Him and say, as the psalmist did, “Have mercy upon me, O Lord, and give your strength to your servant.” He hears that cry. He reads your heart. He will deliver you.

In your pain, do not let go of that hope. May His word become your portion, granting you wisdom for every decision and sustaining strength for each moment. The path ahead may feel overwhelming, but Goodness and Mercy will follow you all the days of your life, even through this valley. You are not forgotten. The God who personifies wisdom knows your name, and He will never let you go.
