Dear heavenly father,
I come to you in the mighty name of Jesus, I have misplaced my wedding ring & engagement ring, I have searched everywhere for them & cannot locate them, holy spirit you can direct me to where they are, I didn't want it to seem like idolatry but I love my rings.please help me I am distressed about it.

We join with you in the mighty name of Jesus and we share in your distress over your lost wedding and engagement rings, and we thank you for coming to the Father through Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God.

We understand why you love these rings and we do not see this as idolatry. Your rings are a beautiful outward symbol of the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman that God ordained, as it is written Genesis 2:24. To cherish that symbol is to honor the marriage itself, and God honors marriage. At the same time we gently remind ourselves that our ultimate treasure is not in earthly possessions but in Christ, and we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to us as well Matthew 6:33.

We know God cares about even the small details that cause our hearts to be troubled. He tells us not to be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We are also told to cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7.

We are reminded of the woman in the parable who had ten silver coins and lost one, and she lit a lamp and swept the house and sought diligently until she found it Luke 15:8-9. Our Father sees what is hidden and knows where what is lost has been placed, and the Holy Spirit can bring to our remembrance and direct our steps. We will trust Him to guide your eyes and your hands as you search.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. You see our sister's distress and You know how precious her marriage covenant is to her. We ask that by Your Holy Spirit You would calm her anxious heart and replace distress with Your peace. Lord, You know exactly where these rings are, nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would direct her steps, bring to her mind the place where they were laid, and lead her to find them. Illuminate what has been overlooked and guide her search. If it be Your will, restore what has been lost so that she may rejoice and give You thanks. Help her to keep her heart centered on You above all things, loving You most while also cherishing the gift of marriage You have given. We trust Your goodness and Your timing. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to rest in prayer while you practically retrace your steps, quietly ask the Lord to bring the moment to mind when you last removed them, check places where they may have been set down for washing hands, cooking, or sleeping, look in pockets, bags, laundry, and small crevices, and ask others in your household to join you in searching with a lamp as that woman did. We will keep standing with you in faith that God who cares for you will grant you peace whether the rings are found quickly or in His perfect timing, and we trust He will comfort your heart.

We hear how distressing this is for you. Those rings carry so much meaning, and loving them because they remind you of your marriage and covenant is not idolatry, it is cherishing what God has joined. It makes sense you feel unsettled after searching everywhere and coming up empty.

When worry builds it can make it harder to see clearly. We have found it helps to pause for a little while, breathe and pray for peace, then look again with fresh eyes. If you can, ask someone you trust to walk through the search with you. Go slowly room by room, retracing the last time you remember wearing or taking them off, and checking the small overlooked places, pockets, laundry, bags, bathroom counters, kitchen sink areas, car, trash, and even the vacuum bag or drain catch. Sometimes a calm second look with another person notices what stress made us miss.

We are praying for you in this and for peace while you wait.

Father, we bring our sister before You in Jesus' name. You see her heart and how much this matters to her. We ask for Your peace to settle her distress and for Your help and wisdom as she searches. Guide her steps and comfort her with Your nearness whether the rings are quickly found or not. Amen.

May heavenly Father and Lord Yeshua help you Holy Spirit help you locate your wedding ring and engagement ring. In Lord Yeshuas name amen.

Your prayer has been heard and your distress is understood, for these rings are not mere ornaments but tokens of a lifelong covenant, and to love them is not of itself to make an idol of them, though we confess with sorrow how soon we make idols of even good and lawful comforts when we set our hearts too much upon them.

You have searched everywhere and cannot locate them, and the anxiety which arises through being in such a difficulty does itself unfit you to meet that difficulty. Our Savior would have us not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of fretfulness and distress. Be prudent still and continue to seek diligently, but do not let your mind be tossed to and fro. The mind is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war, and the promise stands, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

There is a peace which the world cannot give and which outer losses cannot take away, a peace that flows from being reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus Christ. That peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed even in the ordinary circumstances of life and even with sorrows surging round. You may gad about as long as you will to find comfort in the creature, but you will never gain true peace except by simple faith in Jesus. When the heart is stayed upon Him, He whispers peace within, and that peace will keep you while you wait.

We will pray with you that the Holy Spirit, who sees what is hidden, would in His mercy direct you to where they are, or else grant you a calm resignation to His wise providence if for a season they remain hidden. And we pray that whether they are soon found or not, you may find in Christ the way of peace, peace unspeakable, and know that your marriage covenant itself, kept before the Lord, is of far greater worth than its outward sign.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, by whom alone we have peace with Thee, we bring this need before Thee. Thou knowest where what is lost is laid, and nothing is hidden from Thine eye. We ask Thee in Thy kindness to guide our dear one to find these rings if it be Thy will, and to quiet the distress of heart with Thy perfect peace. Keep the mind stayed on Thee, guard the heart from making an idol of any earthly thing, and deepen love for Thee and for the covenant vow these rings signify. Grant wisdom in searching, calmness in waiting, and contentment in Thy care, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and your distress over the lost rings is understood. It is right to bring this worry to God in the name of Jesus, and to ask the Holy Spirit for help and direction.

Loving your wedding and engagement rings is not idolatry in itself. Those rings are signs of a lifelong covenant, and it is natural to treasure them because they point to the vows you made. Idolatry would be if the rings themselves took the place of God in your heart, but cherishing them as reminders of faithfulness and love is not that. Your concern to honor God even in this shows a tender conscience, and God sees that.

At the same time, the anxiety you feel can become a heavy scourging to the soul. As Scripture teaches, each day has enough trouble of its own, and our heavenly Father knows we are tempted to add tomorrow's burden to today's. He is a Father whose care surpasses any earthly father, and He desires to free us from superfluous anxieties. Possessions, even precious ones, do not give lasting confidence. It is virtue and the fear of God and trust in His grace that steadies the heart, whether rings are found or not. When we look up to God with compunction and prayer, He sends His Word to comfort and to free us from that bitter slavery of fear and trembling.

So let us pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus we come to you on behalf of your child who is distressed. You see the searching and the sorrow over these rings that symbolize a marriage covenant. We ask for your peace to guard this heart, to lift the weight of anxiety and to give calm trust in your providence. Holy Spirit, guide and direct, bring to mind where these rings may be, and lead the eyes and hands to find them if it is your will. Help your child to rest in your care, to know that nothing is hidden from you, and that you work even through loss and worry for good. Keep love for you first, and let these rings, whether found quickly or later, remain servants to remind of covenant love, not masters over peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

As you continue to look, it may help to pause and pray quietly, then retrace your steps slowly and methodically. Think of the last time you remember wearing or removing the rings, check places where hands are washed, where clothes are changed, pockets, bags, bedding, under furniture, and ask others in the household to look with fresh eyes. Often what is lost is found when the heart is calmer and the search is unhurried.

May God grant you peace while you wait, and may He be your confidence and comfort above all possessions.
