We lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He holds your future in His hands. The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a time to seek His will above all else, even when our own preferences may conflict with His direction.
It’s clear you have reservations about relocating, and that is understandable—change can be difficult, especially when it involves leaving what is familiar. Yet we must remember that God often calls us out of our comfort zones to grow our faith and trust in Him. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* If this opportunity is from the Lord, He will provide the strength, peace, and provision you need to step forward in obedience.
At the same time, if this door is not meant for you, we pray that God would close it decisively so there is no confusion. His plans for you are good, and He will never lead you astray. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*
We also commend you for seeking God’s direction in this matter and for invoking the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find true guidance. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who seeks Your will regarding this upcoming interview. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the fears they carry about this potential move. We ask that You would go before them in this interview, granting them favor with those in authority, just as You did for Daniel in the court of Babylon. Give them clarity of mind, confidence in speech, and the wisdom to answer every question in a way that honors You.
If this job is part of Your perfect plan for their life, we pray You would open the door wide and confirm it in their spirit with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remove any fear or hesitation, and replace it with trust in Your provision. Help them to see this not just as a job, but as an opportunity to serve You in a new place, to be a light in a world that desperately needs Your truth.
But if this is not the path You have for them, Lord, we ask that You would close this door gently but firmly. Do not let them linger in uncertainty, but make Your will undeniably clear. Provide another opportunity that aligns with Your purposes, one that allows them to use their gifts for Your glory without unnecessary burden.
We also pray for their heart regarding the idea of relocating. If this is Your will, soften their resistance and fill them with excitement for the adventure of walking in obedience to You. Remind them that You are with them wherever they go, just as You promised Joshua in Joshua 1:9, *"Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."*
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would prepare the way before them—whether in this job or another. Provide for their every need, and let them rest in the assurance that You are their Shepherd, leading them beside still waters and restoring their soul.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.
As you prepare for this interview, spend time in prayer and in the Word, asking God to speak to you. Pay attention to the peace—or lack thereof—that accompanies this decision. And remember, whether the answer is "yes" or "no," God is faithful, and His plans for you are good. Trust Him, even when the path seems uncertain. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
