I have an important meeting with a girl!

Beloved of All
Today I have an important meeting with a girl! Let us pray, that the Lord will bless our meeting with this girl and the time spent together! Let us pray, Lord give me a lot of wisdom and show me clearly whether this girl is suitable to be my marriage partner! Let us pray that the Lord will do His will in my relationship with this girl and the Lord might be glorified! Thank you for your support!

We join together with you in prayer for this important meeting and we thank God that you desire His will to be done and for Him to be glorified in this relationship.

We are encouraged that you are seeking wisdom and clarity about whether this young woman is suitable to be your wife, for this is the biblical purpose of courtship. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman as God ordained from the beginning, and any time spent getting to know someone should be with the goal of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, not simply finding a partner or companion. As it is written, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. We encourage you to seek to know whether she loves the Lord Jesus with all her heart and whether you both can walk together in unity, for how can two walk together, unless they have agreed? Amos 3:3.

We also gently correct and remind you that the language of partner can obscure God's design, we pray you are seeking a godly wife and a Christ centered marriage that honors Him. And we urge you to guard purity in all your time together, keeping your meeting and conversation above reproach, for this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4. There should be no fornication or impurity before or outside of marriage, but rather self control and holiness as you discern God's will.

We notice you prayed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up our brother and this meeting. Lord, we ask that You will bless the time spent together and let Your presence and Your will govern every word and decision. Grant him a lot of wisdom as he has asked, for You have promised, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Help him to trust in Yahweh with all his heart, and not lean on his own understanding. In all his ways acknowledge Him, and He will make his paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

Father, give him clear discernment to see whether this young woman is the godly wife You may have for him, a woman who loves You and will help him walk faithfully with You. If this relationship is of You, establish it on Your Word and on purity and on shared faith, and if it is not of You, make that clear with peace and close the door gently. May Your will be done in this relationship and may You be glorified in whatever outcome You ordain. Keep them both pure, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and help them to honor You in their conduct. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray, to seek counsel from mature believers, and to let the peace of God and the counsel of Scripture guide you. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4, when your desires are aligned with His. We will continue to stand with you asking for God's perfect will and His glory in your life.

We're grateful you asked us to pray with you about today. Wanting the Lord to lead this meeting and to make His will clear is a good place to start, and we join you in that desire for Him to be honored in it.

We are praying for calm and clarity for both of you today, that you can be at ease, listen well, and get to know each other honestly. First meetings can bring a lot of hope and nerves at once, and one conversation is really just a beginning. Wisdom about a future marriage partner grows over time as you see character, faith in daily life, and how you both handle joys and pressures.

It can help to take a few quiet minutes after your time together to reflect and pray. Notice what you learned about her values, her walk with the Lord, and how you communicated, and what questions you still have. It also helps to bring those impressions to a trusted pastor or mature couple who knows you well and can give you steady, honest perspective as you keep seeking the Lord.

Father, we lift up this meeting to You in Jesus' name. Give wisdom and clear discernment today, guard both hearts, and lead according to Your will. If this relationship is to move toward marriage, make that clear in Your timing, and if not, give grace and peace to see that as well. May how they speak and listen today reflect You. Amen.

It is good that you bring this matter before the Lord and desire that His will be done rather than your own. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through all human acts, so we may rest assured that He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy and working all things according to His wise purpose.

You do well to ask for wisdom, for all the wisdom we have learned by ourselves is but varnished folly, and the powers we possess are absolutely insignificant compared with His. The man who says, we will go, we will continue, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain, without asking God's consent, acts foolishly. All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. Knowing that, we will not always say with our lips, If the Lord wills, yet we will always feel it in our hearts. There is a revealed will which we must not violate, and there is a royal will which we would seek to fulfill, for our best profit will consist of doing God's will. Sometimes even to be passive in the hand of God and to stand still until the cloudy and fiery pillar moves before us will be our highest wisdom.

So we would have you combine the two prayers, I will, yet not as I will. You may come boldly as a child and say, Father, I will, for He loves to be treated so by His children, and yet as a true child you will also bend before your Father and say, Not as I will, but as You will. You can always have your way when your way is God's way, and the sure way to carry out your desire is when your desire is nothing else but God's will.

Let us pray together that the Lord will bless your meeting this day and the time spent together, that He will grant you a lot of wisdom and clear discernment to see whether this woman is suitable to be your marriage partner according to His revealed will. We pray that He would keep you both in uprightness, for marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that purity and honour which belong within it may be preserved in all your conduct. May the Lord do His will in your relationship and may He be glorified thereby, making you willing in the day of His power to accept whatsoever He appoints, for what He does is always best, and He withholds no good thing from them that walk uprightly.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your request and inviting us to pray with you. We join you in asking the Lord for clear wisdom as you meet with this young woman.

Scripture teaches that true wisdom is not the wisdom of this world but the wisdom that comes from God, and He gives it generously to those who ask Him in faith. We pray that He will give you a calm and discerning mind, to see clearly what is His will and what is merely your own desire or feeling, so that you are not led astray by appearance or emotion.

We pray that your time together will be honorable before God. Marriage is honorable as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and it is meant to be entered with pure and faithful hearts. We pray that both of you will act with modesty and self control, keeping yourselves pure and respecting one another, for marriage preserves holiness by keeping the union pure and undefiled. We pray that you will guard against fornication and keep your bodies and minds pure as you seek His direction.

We pray that the Lord will make His will known to you and be glorified in the outcome. Look carefully for whether this young woman loves the Lord Jesus Christ, walks in faith, and desires to build a home that honors Him. A marriage that begins with shared faith, chastity and mutual respect is the foundation for a household that keeps Gods ways and for children who are raised in blessing. Consider also whether you are ready to love, lead and provide with faithfulness, and whether she is prepared to be a partner in life and in the work of the home.

Seek wise counsel from mature believers who know you both, and take time to observe character rather than rushing. If it is the Lord's will for you to continue toward marriage, may He establish it in peace and holiness. If not, may He give you grace to accept His direction with thankfulness and to continue to walk in purity while you wait.

We are praying for you today for wisdom, clarity, protection from temptation, and a heart that desires Gods glory above all.

Thank you for sharing this request and inviting prayer for your meeting. We join with you in asking the Lord to be present and to be honored in the time you spend together.

It is good and right that your first request is for wisdom. Scripture teaches that wisdom is the most valuable thing we can seek, more desirable than riches or honor, and that we should pursue understanding above all else. When Solomon was given opportunity to ask for anything, he did not ask for wealth or fame but asked for wisdom to walk rightly before God and to lead well, and the Lord was pleased with that request. God granted him wisdom and also added blessings he had not even asked for. In the same way, when we ask for wisdom with a sincere heart, God is pleased to give it generously.

The Scriptures encourage us to incline our ear toward wisdom and to apply our heart to understanding, to receive instruction in what is just and fair and right. Wisdom gives insight to the simple and discretion to the young, and even the wise grow in learning when they listen. Her ways are pleasant and her paths bring peace, and she preserves and keeps those who love her. In Christ Himself are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so to seek wisdom is to seek Him.

We also pray as you have asked, that the Lord will make His will clear. The best prayer we can pray is to place our desires before Him and then surrender them, saying not what I want but what You want. Our ways are before the eyes of the Lord and He weighs our paths, so we can trust Him to guide, to correct, and to reveal what is right. If you turn toward His correction and listen for His voice, He promises to pour out His Spirit and make His words known to you, giving you the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of knowledge and the light for each step.

So we pray that the Lord will grant you clear discernment in this meeting, that He will give you a calm and honest understanding of whether this relationship is suited for marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman entered into with purity and faithfulness. We pray that your conversation and conduct will honor Him, that you will walk with integrity, guard your hearts, and seek counsel that is grounded in His Word. If this is the path He has for you, may He confirm it with peace and growing clarity. If not, may He also make that clear and give you grace to accept His direction.

May the Lord lead you in the way of righteousness, fill you with His peace, and cause all that you do to bring glory to Him. We ask Him to grant you wisdom, understanding, and a willing heart to follow His will above your own.
