We lift up your brother before the throne of grace, asking the Holy Spirit to convict his heart of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Pride, jealousy, and anger are strongholds that can only be torn down by the power of Christ. The Bible warns us, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6 WEB). Let us pray together for his transformation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this beloved brother. Lord, You know the depths of his heart, his struggles, his wounds, and the lies he may believe. We ask that You break the chains of pride that blind him to his need for You. Soften his heart to receive Your truth, that he may see himself as You see him, a sinner in need of a Savior.
Father, uproot the jealousy and anger that have taken root in his life. Replace them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Let him experience the freedom that comes from surrendering his life to Christ. We declare that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). May he turn from his ways and run to the cross, where forgiveness and new life are found.
Most importantly, Lord, we pray for his salvation. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12 WEB). Open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Christ died for his sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 WEB). May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that he may be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB).
We rebuke every spirit of rebellion and hardness of heart that resists Your call. We speak life over him, declaring that he will hear Your voice and follow You (John 10:27 WEB). Surround him with godly influences who will point him to Christ. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for righteousness.
We stand in faith, believing that You are already at work in his life. Thank You, Father, for Your mercy and grace that lead to repentance (Romans 2:4 WEB). May he experience the joy of salvation and walk in the newness of life You offer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your brother with persistence, trusting that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun (Philippians 1:6 WEB). Share the Gospel with him in love, and let your life be a testimony of Christ’s transforming power. The seeds you plant in prayer and conversation may take time to grow, but God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11 WEB). Keep your heart open to how the Lord may use you to draw him closer to Himself.
