I have a lady who is just ...

Beloved of All
I have a lady who is just an acquaintance who made a request of me, and I gave her my answer, of which she doesn't take no for an answer and keeps badgering me. Request to get her off my back. Isn't badgering someone like that a form of harassment?

Our God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit answer this request according to your will, we pray of you, so we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Are you judging this person ###? Did you tell them about Jesus before you make your judgment about them? Do you know whether they believe in Jesus or not? If you share Jesus with those who bother you, you might just find that they would leave you alone because of their fear of Jesus in you, right?

It's something to try, but it doesn't always work, if they're that self-centered about what they're asking for, and in their darkness have convinced themselves not to believe, it may not work. Also, one person who is a "pain", actually claims to be, and believes, she is a Christian. She loudly sings hymns, and praises God through Jesus, yet she's an illegal alien {and defends it}. Also, once she sent me on an errand, and when I got to the place I found that she lied about the price, to try to shortchange the person. {Excuse me, a Christian?} So hearing her talk, and how she reacts to things, she might likely just say, "I AM a Christian, and God understands and backs me up when I have to do "underhanded" things." I understand your suggestion, and I may even try it, but whether it works, depends on the person's level of rebellion, and resistance to the Truth. 2} I don't know if it's considered judging, {the first person} but just saying, when you give your answer, what need have they to keep badgering you about something you already told them? It's a done deal, and she's calling and texting me through the day, talking as if I'm going to do it when I said no. So it gets irritating, and I think disrespectful of the one requested. I don't know if you've ever dealt with someone who don't take no for an answer.....

Have you ever read Proverbs 10? Did you know that those who don't follow Christ's Instructions get their fears added upon themselves? We can argue with God/Jesus about His instructions but without even trying to follow them we will continue to get those things that irritate us multiplied unto us. Did you ever read about Paul giving instructions to hand someone over to the devil so that they can be destroyed until they repent and learn to do things God's/Jesus' Way so that their soul may be saved in the end? Oh the joys of doing things Christ's Way even if they do sound foolish to us at first :)
