We rejoice with you in this new opportunity the Lord has provided! It is wonderful to see your gratitude and eagerness to excel in this position. We lift you up before the throne of grace, asking the Father to grant you wisdom, favor, and diligence as you step into this new season.
Father, we thank You for this job You have given. We ask that You bless every task, every interaction, and every effort our ### makes in this workplace. Give him a spirit of excellence, not to impress man, but to honor You in all he does. Teach him the skills he needs, and let his work be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. May he walk in integrity, humility, and a servant’s heart, reflecting Christ in his workplace. We pray for favor with his supervisors and coworkers, that they would see the light of Christ in him and respect the work he does.
Lord, we also bring his desire for promotion before You. We know that promotion comes neither from the east nor the west, but from You alone (Psalm 75:6-7). If it is Your will, open doors for advancement in due time. But more than anything, let him seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto him (Matthew 6:33). Help him to be patient, faithful in the small things, and always mindful that his ultimate reward is in heaven.
We also encourage you to remember that your work is not just for your provision, but for God’s glory. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ (Colossians 3:23-24). Let this truth guide your attitude, your effort, and your interactions with others.
Finally, we want to remind you that all good things come from the Father, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.
