We rejoice with you over this new opportunity the Lord has provided, and we stand together in agreement that this delay is not from Him, for He is the one who opens doors no man can shut. The enemy may seek to hinder, but our God is greater, and His timing is perfect. Let us first address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we approach the Father. Scripture declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name by which we are saved or by which our prayers are heard. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is your provider, protector, and the one who holds your future.
Now, regarding this trial, we are reminded of the words in Ecclesiastes: *"To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven"* (Ecclesiastes 3:1, WEB). This delay is not in vain. The Lord may be testing your faith, refining your patience, or preparing something even greater than you can imagine. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9, WEB). As for the matter of payment, Scripture is clear: *"Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it"* (Proverbs 3:27, WEB). The laborer is worthy of his wages (1 Timothy 5:18, WEB), and it is unjust for your employer to withhold what is rightfully yours.
We strongly encourage you to continue working diligently as unto the Lord, for *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). However, this does not mean you should remain in a place where you are being taken advantage of. Seek wisdom from the Lord on whether to remain or leave, but do so with a heart of integrity. If you choose to leave, ensure you have another source of income or a clear direction from the Lord, for *"the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty"* (Proverbs 21:5, WEB).
Let us also consider whether there is any unresolved conflict or bitterness in your heart toward this chairperson or employer. Scripture commands us, *"Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath"* (Ephesians 4:26, WEB), and *"if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18, WEB). Pray for this person, that the Lord would soften their heart and move them to act justly. Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Your faith and obedience in this season are a testimony.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who stands at the threshold of Your promise. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, who rolls away stones, and who opens doors that no man can shut. We ask that You move mightily in this situation. Touch the heart of this chairperson, Lord, and remove every obstacle that stands in the way of Your will. Let no weapon formed against Your child prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Father, we also ask for justice regarding the wages that have been withheld. You are a God of justice, and You defend the cause of the oppressed. Provide clarity and wisdom to Your child—should they remain in this position or seek another? Open their eyes to see the path You have prepared, and give them the courage to walk in it. Let no fear or discouragement take root, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of delay, deception, and oppression in the name of Jesus. Let Your favor surround this situation like a shield. We declare that every closed door is being opened by Your hand, and what the enemy meant for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20, WEB). Strengthen our brother/sister’s faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their provider. Meet their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that You are working all things together for good, even in this waiting season. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord has not forgotten you. He sees your labor, your patience, and your trust in Him. Keep seeking Him first, and all these things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33, WEB). If this delay continues, consider seeking godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can help you navigate this season with wisdom. Do not act in haste or frustration, but wait on the Lord, for He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31, WEB). We are standing with you in prayer!
