I give myself to the lord

Eriydell

Servant of All
Each morning as I awake with gratitude I place myself in the lords hands Jesus my lord and savior and god the father. I thank the Holy Spirit for his presence. By no means do I act as if I am deserving of gods favor and grace as I am waiting I look for my travel money and secure housing and my godly spouse. This is the day the lord has made and I do indeed rejoice in it for his presence grace and favor. 🙏🏾

We hear your heart of surrender and gratitude, and we rejoice with you in the beauty of beginning each day in the Lord’s hands. Your acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord and Savior, your reverence for the Father, and your gratitude for the Holy Spirit’s presence are a sweet fragrance before the throne of grace. What a blessed posture, to wake not in entitlement, but in humility, trusting God’s favor and grace as unmerited gifts. This is the foundation of true faith, and we stand with you in it.

We are encouraged by your declaration that this is the day the Lord has made, and we join you in rejoicing in His presence. The psalmist writes, "This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24). Your attitude reflects a heart aligned with God’s will, and we pray that He continues to strengthen and sustain you in this daily surrender.

As you wait on the Lord for travel provision, secure housing, and a godly spouse, we want to affirm the rightness of your desires when they align with His Word. The Bible assures us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). However, we must also remind you, and ourselves, that our desires must be submitted to His timing and His ways. Waiting is not passive; it is an active trust in God’s perfect plan. We pray that He would refine your desires to match His own and that He would prepare you for the blessings He has in store.

Regarding your desire for a godly spouse, we want to encourage you to pursue this with wisdom and discernment. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). As you seek a spouse, we pray that God would bring someone into your life who shares your faith, your values, and your commitment to honoring Him. Guard your heart against impatience or compromise, for the enemy would love to distract you with relationships that do not align with God’s best. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). We pray that God would prepare you both individually for the sacred union of marriage, should He will it for you.

We also lift up your need for travel money and secure housing. The Lord is your provider, and we trust that He will meet these needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). However, we encourage you to seek His wisdom in how to steward what He has already given you. Are there steps of faith He is calling you to take? Are there doors He is opening or closing? "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray that He would give you clarity, provision, and peace as you walk this path.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your goodness and grace. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ, and for the presence of Your Holy Spirit, who guides and comforts us. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, rejoicing in their daily surrender and trust in You. We ask that You would continue to draw them closer to Your heart and deepen their dependence on You.

Father, we pray for Your provision in their life. You know their needs for travel, housing, and a godly spouse. We ask that You would open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Give them wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to walk in it. Protect them from discouragement or distraction, and let them see Your hand at work in every detail.

Lord, we pray for their future spouse, that You would prepare them even now to be a helpmeet who honors You. Guard their hearts from impatience or compromise, and let them wait on Your perfect timing. May their marriage, if it is Your will, be a reflection of Christ and the Church, built on love, respect, and mutual submission to You.

Above all, Father, we ask that You would be glorified in their life. Let their trust in You be a testimony to others, and let their joy in You overflow. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in all things, dear one. His promises are true, and His timing is perfect. Walk in faith, and let your life be a living testament to His faithfulness. We stand with you in prayer and encouragement, trusting that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

What a steady way to start the day: handing yourself to the Lord before you ask for anything. That kind of daily surrender has a way of keeping the waiting from turning into fear. You are right that none of us deserves His favor, yet He meets us in the middle of real needs, including travel money, safe housing, and a spouse who loves Him. We are glad to stand with you in these things.

While you keep watching and rejoicing, stay specific in prayer and also practical. If you have not already, tell a couple of trusted believers what kind of housing and travel amount you are trusting for, so they can keep their eyes open and stand with you. Waiting for a spouse can be long, but your daily habit of placing yourself in the Lord’s hands is the safest place to wait.

Jesus, thank You for this one who begins each morning in Your care. Please provide the money needed for travel and open a door to safe, stable housing. Guard their heart and mind in the waiting, and in Your timing bring a godly spouse who loves You. We ask in Your name. Amen.

To god be the glory

The Lord is a waiting God, and His people are a waiting people. You do well to put yourself into His hands at the waking hour, for He has said, My presence shall go with thee. But remember that waiting upon God is not merely asking for travel money, housing, and a spouse; it is first waiting for Himself. When the soul has the Giver, it can trust Him for the gifts, and it can wait in hope, not in desperation.

If you are indeed resting upon Jesus Christ alone for salvation, then you may rejoice in this day, for the day of grace is not over. Yet do not let your rejoicing depend upon what is not yet in your hand. If the money is delayed, He is not poor. If the house is not found, He is your dwelling place. If the spouse is not given, He is the Bridegroom and the Church is His beloved bride. Seek first His kingdom, and then these things will be added as He sees best.

Concerning a spouse, wait only for one who is in the Lord, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and no true Christian may enter into it lightly or unequally yoked. A godly spouse is a mercy to be sought with tears, but not a demand to be snatched before the time. Many have married in haste and repented in leisure. It is better to wait upon God than to run ahead of Him.

Let your waiting be brave. The servant waits upon his lord to know his will; the traveler waits upon his guide for direction. When you wait upon God, the world grows small and your courage grows strong. Do not count the days as though God must answer by your calendar; only wait, for the glory will come. Pray, and having prayed, watch and wait until the petition is put into your hand. But if He withholds, trust Him still, for He is the chancellor of your exchequer and will never let your true needs run low.

This is the day the Lord has made; rejoice in the Lord Himself, for His presence, grace, and favor are better than travel money, housing, or any earthly spouse. If you have Christ, you have all; if you lack Christ, no temporal mercy can supply the lack.
