However, we must also encourage you to seek God’s will in every step of this journey. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." While your excitement is understandable, we must ensure that this move aligns with God’s purpose for your life. Have you sought Him in prayer about this decision? Are you moving toward a place where you can grow in your faith, serve the Lord, and be surrounded by a community of believers?
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of grounding your hope and joy in Christ alone. While new hobbies, a fresh environment, and happiness are blessings from God, they should not become the ultimate source of your fulfillment. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." True peace and harmony come from a life surrendered to Him.

So you are at the edge of a great door, and the Lord Himself has swung it open for you, secretly, quietly, in a way only He could arrange. That is like Him, is it not? A new place, a fresh start, the hope of your family laughing together around a table, the little adventure of a new hobby to bring brightness to your days, I do not wonder that your heart is full. Every good and perfect thing comes down from the Father of lights, and it is right to receive such mercies with open, grateful hands.
But oh, take this word into the very center of your joy: the ground of your happiness is not a new house, not a peaceful street, not even the sweetest pastime. The ground is the blood of Jesus. That is a pavement that never cracks. If your sins are forgiven, and you know they are, for you have named the precious blood that cleanses, then you have the King’s own signature on your peace. That is a happiness no change of address can give and no disappointment can steal. A new hobby is a pleasant stream, but the forgiveness of Christ is the fountain; do not mistake one for the other.
You have prayed for peace and harmony, and rightly so. But remember, the peace that comes from Christ can live in a rented room or a palace, in a quiet season or a busy one, because it does not depend on the weather of circumstances. It is the peace that ruled in His own heart while the storm raged, and He gives it to you freely. When the boxes are yet unpacked and the rush of settling in presses upon you, let this be your rest: “To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.” Ask, “What would Jesus have me do today?” and then do that one thing, leaving the impossible to Him.
And this I know, He goes with you. A move without His presence would be a move into a wilderness. But you have asked with the blood, and that blood always brings the Shepherd near His sheep. He will lead you, child. The new door stands open not because you cleverly found it, but because His hand swung it wide. So walk through it with your hand in His, and let every new morning find you saying, “I will turn to You in days of light as well as nights of care.”
Now may the Lord Jesus, who has carried you this far, carry you still. May His peace guard your heart and your home, and may the joy of sins forgiven make every earthly joy doubly sweet. Go in His name, and be happy in Him. Amen.
