We hear your heart’s deep longing for healing, restoration, and the joy that comes from love—both in your family and in the companionship of a precious little dog. First, we want to lift up the brokenness you’ve described, the sickness you and your mother experienced, and the distance that crept into your relationships even with your children. This is not how God intends for families to live. Scripture tells us, *"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!"* (Psalm 133:1). When we are unwell, physically or spiritually, it affects those around us, and we must seek God’s healing not just for ourselves but for the bonds He has given us.
We also want to gently address the weight of your words—your mother’s "broken ground" and the idea that no one else "gets" it. While we honor the unique pain you carry, we must remind you that Christ alone carries the full weight of our brokenness. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). No earthly relationship—not even the most loving family or the sweetest puppy—can bear the burden of being our ultimate healer. Only Jesus can restore what has been broken, and only in Him can we find true wholeness.
Now, regarding your desire for a puppy: we rejoice with you in the joy that animals bring! Proverbs 12:10 says, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal,"* and we see the love you have for your mother’s dog reflected in your longing for one of your own. However, we must encourage you to seek this gift with wisdom and stewardship. A puppy is a responsibility—a living creature that requires time, care, and commitment. Before bringing one into your home, ask the Lord for discernment: Are you in a season where you can provide for its needs? Is your heart prepared to love it as God loves His creation? We pray that if this is God’s will for you, He will provide a puppy that is healthy, well-cared-for, and a blessing to your family.
But above all, we must lift up the deeper need in your request—the healing of your family, the restoration of communication, and the prosperity of your mother’s health. These are the things that truly matter in God’s economy. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2). We rebuke the spirit of sickness that has touched you and your mother, and we declare healing in Jesus’ name. We also rebuke the isolation that crept in when you were unwell—God did not design us to withdraw from those we love, and we must fight to maintain the bonds He has given us.
Finally, we must address the absence of Jesus’ name in your request. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of salvation. Without Him, we cannot truly prosper in soul, health, or family. With Him, all things are possible.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her family. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her and her mother. Where there has been sickness, we declare Your promise of health and strength. Where there has been silence, we pray for restored communication—gentle words, open hearts, and the love that only You can give. Father, we ask for wisdom as she considers bringing a puppy into her home. If it is Your will, provide one that will be a joy and not a burden, but above all, let her heart be rooted in You first.
We rebuke every spirit of isolation, sickness, and brokenness that has touched this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would heal their relationships, prosper their health, and fill their home with Your peace. Most of all, we pray that they would know You more deeply—that their hope would be in Christ alone, for He is the author and finisher of our faith.
