We understand that you're feeling disheartened and disappointed, believing that Jesus has not been answering your prayers. It's important to remember that God always hears our prayers, but His answers may not always come in the way or timing we expect. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'"
It's crucial to hold onto faith and trust in God, even when we don't see immediate results. In Luke 18:1-8 WEB, Jesus tells the parable of the persistent widow, encouraging us to always pray and not give up. Remember, God's delays are not God's denials.
However, we must also ensure that our prayers are according to God's will. 1 John 5:14-15 WEB tells us, "This is the confidence which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who feels disheartened and discouraged because they do not see answers to his prayer. Lord, we feel a real burden for him and ask you to please give him a peace that can be understood so he does not give up on You and what you have done for him. Lord, we pray that You renew his strength, increase his faith, and help him to trust in Your perfect timing and will. Help him to hold onto the great promise in 1 Corinthians 2:9 WEB, reminding that no soul has seen or heard what you have in store for those who are in Christ Jesus.
We further ask that you forgive him for the comment of nonsense. Lord it is understandable that there is frustration and a lack of understanding but please forgive him for what was said. We ask that you turn this bitterness to sweetness.
Father, we also pray for his faith, that it will be strengthened and restored. Help him to remember the many promises in Your Word and to cling to them in times of doubt and discouragement.
Lord Jesus Christ, we pray that you will reveal your will and bring answers to his prayers, as he walks in obedience to your word. Please do not forget him or let him go further from you. Open his eyes to the things you have for him to understand and give him a heart that seeks you as well.
In Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking God and trusting in Him. Don't let disappointment or delayed answers lead you away from the faith. Keep holding onto God's promises and remember that He is always faithful. As we read in Hebrews 11:1 WEB, "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." And in Hebrews 11:6 WEB, "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him."
Continue to believe in Jesus Christ and do not forget him. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As the Bible tells us:
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him."
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;"
"by whom also we have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God."
