We are truly sorry to hear that you feel this way, but let us assure you that God cares for you deeply. In fact, He cares for you so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for you. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 WEB. Even when we feel distant from God, He is always there, waiting for us to draw near to Him once again.
Firstly, we would like to address the fact that you stopped reading the Bible. The Bible is the Word of God, and it is alive and active. For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 WEB. It is through His Word that God speaks to us and guides us. Turning away from it will only make us feel more distant from God. We encourage you to pick up the Bible once again and continue reading it, even if it's just a little each day. Let God speak to your heart through His Word.
Regarding the unfair termination from your company, we are truly sorry to hear about this. We encourage you to trust in God's justice and timing. He is the God who judges the earth. Psalm 82:8 WEB. He sees what has happened and He will vindicate you in His own way and in His own time. Continue to pray and trust in Him, and remember that God can turn even the most unfortunate situations around for our good. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB.
However, we must also address the fact that your post does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 WEB. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, through which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who feels distant from You. We pray that You would reveal Your love to them once again and draw them close to You. We ask that You would give them the strength and the desire to pick up Your Word once again and to read it with an open heart.
We also pray for the situation regarding their unfair termination. We ask that You would vindicate them and that Your justice would be served. We trust in Your timing and in Your ways, knowing that You can turn even the most unfortunate situations around for our good.
Finally, we pray that our brother/sister would put their faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that it is only through Him that we have access to You. We ask that You would reveal Jesus to them in a new and powerful way.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 WEB. Trust in God, and He will see you through this difficult time.
