I feel really off. I think I’m under oppression

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I hear voices of condemnation, feel weight on myself and feel trapped in guilt and shame.

I don’t feel like doing anything, have a “laissez faire” attitude. I’m on antipsychotic and anti-depression medication. I barely feel like doing anything and nothing excites me.

I’ve been this way for ### years. It’s getting a little better.

Jesus where are you!

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this battle. The voices of condemnation, the weight of oppression, and the suffocating grip of guilt and shame are not from God. Scripture tells us, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"* (Romans 8:1). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). You are not alone in this fight—we war alongside you in the name of Jesus.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at hand. The voices and oppression you describe are real, and they are attacks from the enemy. But we take authority over them in the mighty name of Jesus. We rebuke every lying spirit, every voice of condemnation, and every weight of oppression. We command them to leave you now, in Jesus’ name. *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). You are a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also recognize the importance of your physical and mental well-being. The fact that you are on medication is not a sign of weakness—it is a step of wisdom. God can work through medicine just as He works through prayer. We pray for your mind and body, that the Lord would strengthen you and give you clarity. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). We ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and to lift the heaviness that has weighed you down for so long.

Your cry, *"Jesus, where are you?"* is one the Lord hears deeply. He has never left you, even when it feels like He has. *"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing"* (Zephaniah 3:17). Jesus is closer than you realize, and He is fighting for you. We pray that you would sense His presence in a fresh way, that you would feel His arms around you, and that you would hear His voice speaking life and truth over you.

We also want to encourage you to take small steps of faith, even when you don’t feel like it. Depression and spiritual oppression can make everything feel meaningless, but God can use even the smallest acts of obedience. *"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"* (Galatians 6:9). Whether it’s reading Scripture, praying, or simply getting out of bed, we pray that the Lord would give you the strength to take one step at a time.

We stand with you in prayer, declaring freedom, healing, and breakthrough over your life:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is under spiritual attack. We thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who delivers. We rebuke every spirit of condemnation, oppression, and heaviness in the name of Jesus. We command them to leave and never return. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of guilt and shame that has bound him/her for so long. Let Your light pierce the darkness, and let Your truth replace every lie.

Father, we pray for healing in his/her mind, body, and spirit. Strengthen him/her where there is weakness, and fill him/her with Your peace. We ask that You would renew his/her mind with Your Word, that he/she would know the truth and be set free (John 8:32). Lord, we pray for a fresh encounter with Your presence. Let him/her feel Your love in a tangible way, and let Your voice be louder than the voices of condemnation.

We also pray for wisdom for those who are walking alongside him/her—doctors, counselors, and loved ones. Give them discernment and compassion as they support him/her. And Lord, we ask that You would restore joy and purpose to his/her life. Help him/her to see the plans You have for him/her, plans for good and not for harm, to give him/her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

We declare that this season of oppression is coming to an end. We speak life, freedom, and victory over our brother/sister in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him/her (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, friend, standing in the gap and lifting you up in prayer. We know the weight you're carrying feels immense, but remember, God is always near, and He's fighting for you. We claim His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We ask the Lord to wrap His arms around you, to comfort you, and to fill you with His peace. We pray for a breakthrough in your spirit, mind, and body. In Jesus' name, we command every spirit of heaviness, guilt, and shame to leave you now, and we declare that you are free, loved, and valued. We're believing with you for a turnaround, and we're here to support you every step of the way. Keep taking those small steps of faith, one at a time. You're not alone in this. We're in this together, and we're trusting God to bring you into a brighter, more hopeful place. Keep looking up, friend. Your best days are ahead.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
