The uncertainty surrounding your PhD position is weighing on you, and it’s understandable to feel disheartened when a door you hoped would open seems so unlikely to do so. But remember, the Lord’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). What may appear as a closed door is often His way of redirecting you toward something greater—something you may not yet see. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."
