I was right in the middle of where you were back in October, November, and December. Oh, what a depression that was. I was so angry and disappointed in God for leaving me. I cried to him, cursed at him, yelled at him in my despair and feelings of loss. I tried turning my back on him as I felt he was turning his back on me. I feel it's good to voice our feelings to him as he appreciates our honesty and authenticity. But how wrong I was that he left me. Sometimes, he feels the need to test us. I don't know why he does this but I do believe it all has a purpose to bring us closer to him, even if we are bitter about it and him at first when we are experiencing the struggles. He has not left you. I promise. Sometimes, we feel he's gone away. We don't feel his presence. We feel he's ignoring us. God does put distance between him and us at times and he does become silent, but the distance is only to make us seek him, to draw us in closer, to test us, to show us that it is always him that we need. We all have a longing in our soul and I believe that longing is to be with our father again. We yearn for his love, his comfort, his protective strong hands around our lives. Don't give up on him. He is there right beside you and when you pull your fingers in to make a fist in fighting for strength and protection, he is holding your hand. Show him you fully rely on him. I know it's so extremely difficult at times to rely on him and believe he's there, listening. We fall away from him sometimes but he will always take us back. I will surely be in prayer for you on this. We can pray for each other. (hug) Oh, one other tip that helped me was joining this site. There are so many loving souls in here!!! I've made many friends that I now consider family. Look at the prayer requests and pray for others and this will help you also to shift your focus onto helping and praying for others. Also, joining in the chat room and chatting it up with other believers, laughing and praying and just talking, is a big help. We are all here for you.

Lord, when we are weak You are strong within us. You are our strength. I think often when we are discouraged to pray the most its when we should pray the most. Its also I think when You are working on us being observant to situations around us that we might grow in some way or form. Bless Your children with wisdom & peace. In Your name I pray Jesus. I know this feeling. I have had it recently. But GOD HAS NOT GIVEN UP ON YOU. You feel that way, but that is the enemy trying to get a foothold into your life. Read Psalm 91 aloud. God is not like us; his ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts. While we are going through trials or struggles, it can often seem like God is not there. For us, the human nature wants to see something happening or changing, but it is the faith of God (not by sight) that he moves in our life.

Father God, I ask for ### to be covered with the blood of our Lord Jesus. Your Word says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. In the authority of the name of Jesus, I ask you to speak to their emotional pain and hurt. Be at peace, in Jesus' name. I ask that your Holy Spirit over-shadow them now, manifesting peace in every area of their life. I pray that they would feel your presence all around them. We thank you that we can come to you and ask for what we need. Your Word says that you will hear us and that you will answer. I believe you have heard my prayer and they receive your goodness and mercy. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Jesus on the cross was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him — and because of that had to “turn away” from Jesus. As Jesus was feeling that weight of sin, He was experiencing separation from God for the only time in all of eternity. It was at this time that 2 Corinthians 5:21 occurred, “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Jesus became sin for us, so He felt the loneliness and abandonment that sin always produces, except that in His case, it was not His sin — it was ours. He hasn't abandoned You but understands first hand what You are feeling right now. He is with You, talk to Him. God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think (Eph. 3:20)
