I don't want to live far from God...

Beloved of All
There are many women these days who walk around naked (unfortunately). There are some who have actually flirted with me and tried to seduce me. There was a time when I was addicted to pornography (which is terrible). Now (to the glory of God) there is no pornography in my life, but I remain a weak and sinful person and I need God's action in me more than ever in these matters. Pray (if you have it in your heart) for me. May the Heavenly Father make me (permanently and forever) resistant to temptations from seductive women. May God make me (permanently and forever) wise, smart, foresightful and impenetrable to such temptations, in the Name of Jesus Christ! May there never be pornography or anything like it in my life again, because I do not want to live far from God...

We lift you up in prayer, brother, for your heart’s desire to walk closely with the Lord and resist the temptations of this world. Your confession and repentance from pornography are a testament to God’s transforming power in your life, and we rejoice that He has set you free from that bondage. Yet we also recognize, as you do, that the battle against sin is ongoing, and the flesh remains weak even when the spirit is willing. The apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:12-13, *"Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."*

The world we live in is saturated with immorality, and the enemy seeks to exploit our weaknesses through lust, seduction, and the allure of sin. But Scripture commands us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to guard our hearts, for *"the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life"* (Galatians 6:8). Jesus Himself warned that *"everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart"* (Matthew 5:28). This is not to condemn you, but to remind you—and all of us—that purity is a matter of the heart, not just outward actions.

Your prayer for permanent resistance to temptation is good, but we must also remember that our strength comes not from our own resolve, but from abiding in Christ. In John 15:5, Jesus declares, *"Apart from me, you can do nothing."* It is only by His power, through the Holy Spirit, that we can walk in victory. We encourage you to fill your mind with Scripture, to memorize verses that combat temptation (such as Psalm 119:9, *"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."*), and to flee immediately from situations where you might be weakened. Joseph’s example in Genesis 39:12, where he ran from Potiphar’s wife, is one we should all follow—there is no shame in fleeing temptation; there is only wisdom.

We also urge you to be intentional in your relationships. If you are not yet married, guard your heart against emotional or physical entanglements with women who do not share your commitment to Christ. A godly wife is a blessing from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22), but the wrong relationships can lead you back into bondage. Pray for a spouse who fears the Lord, and in the meantime, seek accountability with mature believers who can support you in this fight.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the work You have already done in this brother’s life, freeing him from the chains of pornography and giving him a heart that longs for holiness. Lord, we ask that You continue to strengthen him by Your Spirit, that he may walk in purity and resist every scheme of the enemy. Clothe him with Your armor, that he may stand firm against the temptations of the flesh and the allurements of this world. Give him wisdom to flee from sin and the courage to honor You in every thought, word, and deed.

Father, we pray that You would place a hedge of protection around him, that no seductive influence would find a foothold in his heart. Fill his mind with Your truth, that he may meditate on what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). If there are areas of weakness, expose them by Your Spirit and grant him repentance where needed. Surround him with godly brothers who will encourage him and hold him accountable.

Lord, if it is Your will, prepare a godly wife for him—a woman who loves You and will walk beside him in faith. Until then, guard his heart from ungodly attachments and keep him steadfast in his pursuit of You. May he find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are his strength and his shield.

We rebuke every spirit of lust, temptation, and compromise in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against this brother shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Let him be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for Your purposes.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We're here with you, brother, in this journey towards holiness. We've been where you are, and we know the struggle is real. But remember, God is faithful, and He's got you. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, we're reminded that God won't let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. He'll always provide a way out.

We're not just praying for you to resist temptations from seductive women, but also for a heart that desires God above all else. We're asking God to make you wise, to give you discernment, and to fill your mind with His truth. We're praying for a hedge of protection around you, and for godly brothers and sisters to come alongside you, encouraging and supporting you.

And hey, if it's God's will, we're even praying for a godly wife for you, someone who loves the Lord and will walk beside you in faith. Until then, we're asking God to keep your heart pure and steadfast in your pursuit of Him.

We're claiming 2 Corinthians 2:14 over you, "Thanks be to God, who always leads us in Christ's triumphal procession and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him." You're a sweet aroma of Christ, brother, and we're believing God for your victory.

Let's keep fighting the good fight together, in Jesus' name.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you up before the Lord in this deeply personal battle. Your heart’s cry for holiness and resistance against temptation resonates with us, and we have been praying earnestly that God would fortify you with His strength, wisdom, and discernment. It is a beautiful thing to see how the Lord has already delivered you from the grip of pornography—what a testimony to His power and grace! We rejoice with you in this victory while continuing to stand with you in the ongoing fight for purity.

If the Lord has granted you further breakthroughs—whether through renewed strength, a deeper sense of His presence, or a greater ability to flee temptation—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could encourage others who are waging the same war in secret. And if the struggle still feels heavy, if the enemy is whispering lies of weakness or defeat, do not hesitate to post again. We are here to keep interceding, to keep reminding you that you are not alone, and to keep pointing you to the One who has already won the battle on your behalf.

Brother, we know the weight of this fight, but we also know the power of Christ in you. He is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun. May the Holy Spirit fill you afresh today, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He make you so sensitized to His voice that every temptation is drowned out by His truth. May He surround you with godly influences and remind you daily that your worth is found in Him alone—not in the fleeting approval of this world, but in the eternal love of your Savior.

We are still praying. Keep seeking Him. He is your strength, your shield, and your ever-present help. In Jesus Name.
