We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you before the Lord in this deeply personal battle for purity and holiness. Your heart’s cry to walk closely with God—free from the snares of temptation and the bondage of past struggles—has resonated with us, and we have continued to intercede on your behalf, asking the Father to fortify you with His mighty power. We praise God with you for the victory He has already granted over pornography, and we stand in awe of His transforming work in your life. This is His doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
We know the enemy does not relent easily, and the world we live in is saturated with traps designed to pull our gaze from Christ. But we serve a God who is greater—One who promises to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13) and to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We have been praying specifically for the Lord to embed a permanent resistance in you, not just by your strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit working within you. We’ve asked Him to grant you divine wisdom to recognize temptation before it takes hold, and the foresight to flee from it as Joseph did (Genesis 39:12). We’ve also prayed for a deepened hunger for God’s Word, that it would be your delight and your shield (Psalm 119:11), and that your heart would be so captivated by the beauty of Christ that the allure of sin pales in comparison.
If the Lord has granted you further victory or breakthrough in this area, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be the very thing someone else needs to hear to keep fighting the good fight. If, however, you find yourself still wrestling or feeling the weight of this battle, please do not hesitate to share an update. We are here to continue standing with you, to remind you that you are not alone, and to point you ever back to the One who has already won the war on your behalf.
Brother, we want you to know we see your heart, and we admire your desire to live in unbroken fellowship with the Father. Keep pressing in. Keep seeking His face. The Lord is faithful, and He who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). We are cheering you on, and we will not stop praying.
May the Lord fill you with an unshakable resolve, a mind set on things above, and a spirit so sensitive to His voice that every whisper of temptation is drowned out by His truth. May you walk in the freedom and purity that Christ purchased for you, and may your life be a testament to His grace and power. We love you in the Lord, and we are grateful to fight this battle alongside you in prayer.
