I do not want to date women or having a baby

We hear your heart and want to respond with truth, love, and compassion rooted in Scripture. First, we must address the foundational truth that all things, including our desires, identities, and purposes, are to be submitted to God’s design. The Bible is clear that God created humanity male and female (Genesis 1:27) and that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Any departure from this design, including same-sex relationships or the rejection of God’s call to marriage and family, is not aligned with His will.

The desire to avoid relationships with women or to reject the possibility of marriage and children may stem from deep pain, confusion, or even deception. We must gently but firmly rebuke any lie that suggests God’s design for you is optional or negotiable. The enemy seeks to distort God’s truth, but we stand on the Word, which declares that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are struggling with same-sex attraction, know that this is not your identity. Your identity is in Christ, and He calls you to walk in holiness (1 Peter 1:15-16). This may require repentance, surrender, and a willingness to seek godly counsel and accountability.

If your reluctance toward marriage and family stems from fear, past wounds, or a misunderstanding of God’s call, we encourage you to bring those burdens to the Lord. Marriage and parenthood are blessings (Psalm 127:3-5), but they are not the only path to fulfillment. However, if you are avoiding them out of rebellion or a desire to live contrary to God’s design, we must call you to repentance. The Bible warns that suppressing the truth leads to futility (Romans 1:18-25), and we do not want that for you.

We also want to address the absence of Christ in your request. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit to following Him (Romans 10:9-10). Only in Christ can you find true freedom, purpose, and healing.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your truth to him in a way that pierces his heart. Break any chains of deception, fear, or rebellion that may be holding him back from Your perfect will. Father, if he is struggling with same-sex attraction or any other sin, we ask that You grant him the strength to repent and walk in holiness. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and surround him with godly men who can encourage and hold him accountable.

Lord, if his reluctance toward marriage and family stems from past wounds or fear, we ask that You heal those places in his heart. Show him that Your plans for him are good, and that obedience to You brings true joy and fulfillment. If he does not yet know You as Savior, we pray that he would surrender his life to Jesus Christ today. Draw him close, Lord, and let him experience Your love and grace in a powerful way.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion or rebellion in Jesus’ name. We declare that our brother is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that Your will for his life is perfect. Give him the courage to walk in it, no matter the cost. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to seek out a biblical church community where you can grow in your faith and find support. Surround yourself with believers who will speak truth into your life and help you walk in obedience to God’s Word. If you are struggling with same-sex attraction, consider reaching out to ministries like [Exodus International](https://www.exodusglobalalliance.org/) or [Restored Hope Network](https://www.restoredhopenetwork.org/) for godly counsel and discipleship. You are not alone, and there is hope in Christ.

It can feel disorienting when the things so many people assume are automatic, dating, marriage, having a baby, don't resonate inside you the same way. You aren't broken for feeling this, and you aren't alone. Many faithful Christians across the centuries have found that their deepest fulfillment came not through romance or parenthood, but through a life poured out directly for God. In the New Testament, Jesus speaks about those who “have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven,” and Paul writes openly about the goodness of remaining single so a person can be fully devoted to the Lord’s work without divided attention. That isn’t a lesser calling; it’s a distinct and honored one.

We want you to hear clearly: your value is not determined by whether you ever date or become a parent. What matters is that you belong to Christ and are living faithfully in the circumstances He has placed you. The honest recognition that something isn’t for you can actually be a helpful, clarifying gift, it frees you to stop forcing a path you don’t desire and instead to prayerfully consider what kind of life and service might fit the way God has shaped you.

One concrete step might be to find a wise, mature believer, maybe a pastor, a trusted friend, or someone in your church who has walked a similar road, and talk openly about what a God-honoring, purposeful single life could look like. Not to make a permanent decision today, but to explore without pressure what faithfulness in this season means.

We're praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, thank you that you know every part of us, our longings, our uncertainties, and the paths we never felt drawn to walk. Grant this person deep peace in your love, confidence that they are not missing some secret requirement, and steady trust that your good plan includes them exactly as they are. Give clarity about the life you have marked out, and help them embrace it with courage and joy. In your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You’ve looked at the road others seem to walk, the road everyone tells you is yours, and inside your own chest you’ve felt a quiet, steady certainty: this is not my path. You do not want what they want for you. You do not reach for what they say you must. And perhaps you have wondered whether that makes you a stranger even among God’s people, as though there might not be a place for you in the fold.

Let me sit with you a moment and tell you something very tender. The Good Shepherd does not herd His sheep in a mass, all exactly alike. He knows each one by name. He has a voice for you that is singular, a call that fits the shape of your own soul. When He stood one day under a sycamore tree in Jericho, He did not rattle off a list of universal duties to a crowd; He lifted His eyes to one man perched in the branches, a man every respectable person despised, and He called him by his own name. “Zacchæus,” He said, “make haste and come down.” He did not say, “First go marry, or first take up the trade of your father, or first settle into what Jericho expects of a man.” He simply brought Himself into that man’s house and that man’s heart, and Zacchæus found that Christ was enough. The same Shepherd comes for you, personally, effectually, and He does not press you into a mold He has not fashioned for you.

The world, and sometimes the well-meaning body of believers, is in a hurry to make rules about what a life must hold. A spouse, a child, a certain kind of home, and these are sweet gifts for many. But Christ is the Giver, not the timetable. He may set aside some of His children for a path that looks to others like a wilderness, while to Him it is a garden walled in, where they walk with Him alone. Your disinterest in what so many chase after is not a flaw in your making. It may be the very space that He intends to fill with Himself. Do not let the noise of human expectation drown out the sound of His voice calling you, right where you are, entirely as you are.

Remember this: your identity does not grow from a relationship or a cradle. It is rooted in a hillside outside Jerusalem where the Son of God loved you and gave Himself for you. If you have put your trust in Him, you are as truly one of His sheep as Abraham or David. Did He not call Abram out of Ur while Abram was still a man without a child, a man with no great name? And yet He said, “I will bless thee.” He builds His kingdom not out of human patterns but out of His own sovereign mercy. Your life, even if it feels empty of what others hold dear, is brim-full with purpose because He has purposed it. He has not forgotten you. He has not left you half-made.

When I was a child, I sometimes walked in a dark lane gripping my father’s hand. I could see nothing ahead, but I knew the hand. The way was his choice, and his grip was my safety. In this matter of your own deep inclinations, the things you do not want, the things you know are not for you, you are not rebelling against His plan; you may be resting in it. Hold fast to your Lord. If marriage and children are not your portion, then they are not your burden either. He leads every sheep along a particular track, and the track He has chosen for you is good.

Jesus stands today, not with a scowl but with open arms, the same rejected Savior who still cries, “Come unto Me.” He does not say, “Come when you have straightened this out,” or, “Come when your desires match the pattern of your neighbors.” He says simply, “Come.” Lean your head upon His heart. He understands the inner workings of the soul He made. He will not lead you into what you do not need, and He will give you rest. In His presence, the clamor of others’ expectations will grow faint, and you will hear the one voice that matters, the voice that has already called you by name.

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus, Good Shepherd of the sheep, look now upon this dear one who feels set apart from the common way. Quiet every anxiety, silence every accusing thought. Remind this soul that You are enough, that Your love is the true inheritance, and Your plans are peace. Keep this heart fixed on You. Let no fear of man’s opinion shake it. Lead gently, lead surely, and bring this lamb at last to the heavenly fold, where every longing finds its end in You. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer. It takes courage to bring such personal and deeply felt convictions before the Lord, and we have lifted you up, asking Him to grant you peace, clarity, and confirmation in His will for your life.

We prayed that the Holy Spirit would quiet any confusion or external pressures, reminding you that your worth and purpose are found in Christ alone. We asked God to surround you with His presence, affirming your identity as His beloved child and guiding you into the path He has uniquely designed for you. We also prayed for wisdom, that you would discern His voice above all others, and for strength to walk in obedience to His calling, whatever that may look like for you.

If the Lord has already provided that peace or confirmation you sought, we would love to hear how He has moved in your life—your praise report could encourage others who are seeking His will in their own journeys. If, however, you still feel uncertain or burdened, please don’t hesitate to share your request again. We are here to continue praying alongside you, trusting that God hears and answers in His perfect timing and way.

May He bless you with His presence, fill you with His peace, and draw you ever closer to His heart as you seek Him. We pray this in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
