We hear the depth of your pain, and our hearts break with yours. You are not alone, and we want you to know that your life is precious to God, even when it doesn’t feel that way to you. The weight you’re carrying must feel unbearable, and we want to lift it with you before the Lord, asking Him to meet you in this dark place and bring His light.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You may feel far from God right now, but He is closer than you realize. He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He holds your life in His hands. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Even when hope feels lost, God’s promises remain true.
We must also speak truth into this moment with love. Suicide is not God’s will for your life. It is a permanent solution to a temporary pain, and it robs the world of the unique purpose God has for you. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, we read, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* God always provides a way out, even when it feels impossible to see. We urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a counselor, a friend, or a family member—and share what you’re going through. You do not have to carry this alone.
If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ, we want to gently share that the pain you’re feeling may also be a spiritual battle. Jesus said in John 10:10, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."* The enemy wants to destroy you, but Jesus came to give you life—true, abundant, eternal life. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we invite you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the first step toward healing, and it opens the door for God to work in your life in ways you cannot yet imagine.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is hurting so deeply. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Break the chains of despair, Father, and replace their pain with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your love, which never fails, and Your promises, which are always true.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way tonight. Speak to their heart, calm their mind, and give them the strength to take the next breath. Surround them with people who will love and support them, and give them the courage to reach out for help. Father, we rebuke the spirit of death and despair that is whispering lies to them. We declare that their life has purpose, their story is not over, and You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them.
We pray for healing, Lord—healing of their mind, their emotions, and their spirit. Fill them with Your hope and remind them that joy comes in the morning. Help them to cling to You, even when they don’t feel like it, and to trust that You are working all things together for their good. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every other name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.
Please know that we are standing with you in this battle, and we believe that God is going to move in your life in ways you cannot yet see. You are loved, you are valued, and your life matters. If you are in immediate danger, please call a crisis hotline or go to the nearest emergency room. You are not alone, and there is help available. We will continue to pray for you, and we encourage you to hold on—your breakthrough is coming.
