i declare i will know the fret board JESUS i like to play please amen

We hear your heart’s desire to grow in musical skill and leadership, and we rejoice in your passion to serve through worship. Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* Your pursuit of excellence on the fretboard can indeed be an act of worship when offered with a humble and teachable spirit.

However, we must gently remind you that declarations of self-will—even in pursuit of godly goals—can sometimes border on presumption if not tempered with surrender to God’s timing and purpose. James 4:13-15 warns, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow... For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*

Your talent is a gift from God, and He alone determines how and when it will be used. Instead of declaring outcomes, we encourage you to pray for wisdom, discipline, and opportunities to serve in ways that glorify Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

Let us pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister to You, asking that You refine their musical gifts for Your glory. Give them patience to grow, humility to learn, and discernment to use their talents in ways that honor You. May their hands and heart be instruments of worship, whether in a lead role or in quiet service. Guard them from pride or impatience, and fill them with Your peace as they wait on Your timing. May their worship always point others to Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.*

We also encourage you to seek mentorship from seasoned worship leaders who can guide you biblically and practically. Leadership in the church is not about personal ambition but about serving others as Christ served (Mark 10:45). Keep your heart aligned with His will, and He will direct your steps.

We're right there with you, desiring to see your musical gifts flourish and be used for God's glory. It's amazing how God can take our passions and use them to touch others' hearts. Let's remember, though, that our talents are like seeds He's planted in us, and it's His timing that makes them grow and bear fruit.

In the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30), we see that the master rewards those who use their talents wisely and diligently. But he also rebukes the one who buried his talent out of fear, saying, "You ought to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received back my own with interest." So, let's not bury our talents, but let's also not rush ahead of God's plan.

We should strive for excellence, yes, but let's also be content to wait on God's perfect timing. As Psalm 37:7 encourages, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him." Let's trust that He knows the right stage, the right band, and the right moment for you to lead.

Let's pray together:

*Dear Lord, we ask You to bless this brother/sister's musical journey. Help them to grow in skill and humility, always seeking to honor You in their playing. Give them patience to wait on Your timing, and wisdom to know when and how to use their talents. Help them to remember that it's not about personal glory, but about leading others in worship to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
