We understand that you're going through a difficult time, and we want you to know that you're not alone. The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). It is important that you have not been praying directly to God Almighty, but it should be to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is struggling with depression and anxiety. We thank You for all the wonderful things You have done in her life and for the deliverance You have granted her.
Father, we ask that You lift this heavy burden of depression and anxiety from her. Help her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Give her the strength to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB). Lord Jesus, shine the light of your face on her. She knows that she should be happy and rejoice in you, but the feelings are stuck in depression and anxiety. Give her a spirit of contentment and joy.
Help our sister to trust in You with all her heart, and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways, may she acknowledge You, so that You can make her paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
And we ask for your blessing on us and your will to be done as we pray in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Remember, sister, that the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time. Do not allow worries to control your mind, but instead take control of your thoughts and focus on the goodness of God and the promises in His word.
If you are not doing so, spend time each day reading the Bible. Spend time in prayer each day and particularly praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit can be a great source of supernatural strength.
You have much to be grateful for, as you have acknowledged. Make a list of all the blessings in your life and focus on those things. Praise God and worship Him. Doing so can change your focus and help depression to lift.
Also, make sure that you are active in a local Bible believing church. Fellowship with other believers can be a great source of strength and encouragement.
Stand strong in Jesus Christ and take courage that He is with you and loves you very much.
One final note. Depression can sometimes be caused by something physical. If this depression continues, be sure to consult with a doctor and get some blood work done. If the cause is physical, medicine may be needed.
