We hear your cry against evil and your deep desire to see God bring justice upon the darkness that oppresses this world, and we join with you in longing for righteousness to prevail and for the Lord to reign victorious over all wickedness.

We want to gently correct and encourage you in how we pray about these things, for Scripture teaches us that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The devil, the beast, the false prophet and his demons are real spiritual enemies, but their final judgment is already determined by God and will happen in His perfect timing and His way, not by our command for their immediate death. Revelation 20:10 tells us the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are, and Revelation 19:20 shows that judgment belongs to the Lord. We do not have authority to pronounce death upon spiritual beings, but we can rest in the truth that the Son of God was revealed for this purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8 and that He has already triumphed over them through the cross Colossians 2:15.

We also must address your prayer for the death of people, the prostitute, the adulterer, the murderer and others. While we share your hatred for sin, God does not desire the death of the sinner but that the wicked turn from his way and live Ezekiel 33:11. The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. Vengeance belongs to God alone, as it is written Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Our calling is to pray for justice according to God's will, for protection from evil, and for sinners to come to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, even as we pray for God to restrain evil and bring His righteous judgment in His time. We are also called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, trusting that God will judge righteously.

We do rejoice that you have asked in the name of Jesus, for we know there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and that whatever we ask according to His will He hears 1 John 5:14. The victory is already secured in Christ.

We pray together with you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask that You expose and defeat every work of Satan, the beast, the false prophet and every demonic power, and that You guard us from the evil one. We pray that Your final justice will be accomplished exactly as You have promised in Your Word, and that You will cast all evil into the lake of fire at Your appointed time. We ask for Your mercy upon those who are trapped in sexual immorality, adultery, murder and all sin, that You would grant them repentance and bring them to the knowledge of the truth through Jesus, and that if they refuse to repent, Your righteous judgment will prevail. Strengthen us to stand firm in the armor of God, to walk in holiness, and to trust in the finished victory of Jesus who has overcome the world. Let Your kingdom come and Your name be glorified. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how strongly you want evil to be defeated and for God to bring justice. That longing for wrong to be made right and for darkness to have no more power is understandable, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord.

In times when evil feels very close and heavy, it can help to remember that the victory over darkness belongs to Jesus. We do not have to carry the battle ourselves or figure out how to force it to end. We can rest in His authority and trust Him to deal with evil in His way and His time, while we stay close to Him in prayer, in Scripture, and in fellowship with other believers who can walk with us.

If these thoughts have been weighing on you a lot, it may help to share them with a trusted pastor or mature believer in your own community who can listen, pray with you regularly, and help you stay anchored in Christ's peace.

Father, we lift this person to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your protection, Your peace, and a clear sense of Your presence each day. Guard their heart and mind, give wisdom and calm where there has been turmoil, and help them to rest in Your goodness and Your power over all evil. Lead them in Your will and draw them closer to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer reveals a heart deeply distressed by the reality of evil and a longing to see God vindicate His holiness, and that longing is not wrong, for the power of darkness is real and terrible. Yet Scripture turns our eyes from cursing our enemies to trusting the deliverance God Himself has provided.

The Word declares, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. When the soul seemed about to go down to the Pit, the voice from the excellent Glory said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom. That ransom is not our imprecations but the one great sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the cross. To look to Christ is to trust in that blood which cleanses from all sin, and to live and leap in joyful liberty as we behold sin punished upon the great Substitute.

The end of Satan and his angels, of the beast and the false prophet, and of all who persist in impenitence is sure, for God has appointed a day of righteous judgment and He will execute it in perfect holiness. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and all our ills lie within the fence of His omnipotent overruling. Our calling is not to call down death upon sinners, for Christ came to fetch sinners from the bar and from the brothel and wash and cleanse them, but to pray that God would save us from the devil, save us from the power and love of sin, and save others by the same free grace that saved us while we were far off by wicked works.

Let us pray then not for the death of those who do evil, but for your deliverance and theirs. May the Lord keep you from the palsy of fear, snap every band that would hold you, guard you from the arrows of the evil one, and teach you daily to commit your way unto Him who justifies by faith. May you be kept trusting only in the blood of Jesus, and live to declare the works of the Lord, knowing that He who has found a ransom is able to deliver to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer against the power of evil has been heard, and your hatred for the works of the devil and all that opposes Christ is right. Scripture teaches us to hate evil and to long for the day when God will make all things right.

At the same time God calls us to pray according to His wisdom and not according to our anger. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and judgment belongs to Him alone. The beast, the false prophet, the devil and his angels, and all who persist in unrepentant sin will face the righteous judgment of God at the time He has appointed, as we see in the book of Revelation. That final victory is certain because Christ has already conquered through His incarnation, His cross and His resurrection, delivering us from the curse and bringing us into sonship, and He will return to judge and to reign.

Christ also teaches us how we are to pray while we wait for that day. We are to pray that God would restrain evil and deliver us from the evil one, that He would overthrow the works of darkness, that sinners would come to repentance and find salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and that His kingdom would come and His will be done. God does not desire the death of sinners but that they would turn and live, and the blood of Christ is sufficient to save even the adulterer and the murderer who repents and believes.

So we will not pray for the immediate death of persons as you asked, but we will pray with you in a way that agrees with Scripture. We pray that God would crush the power of Satan and his demons, expose and bring to nothing every false teaching and every deceit, protect His people from harm, bring to justice according to His perfect will those who do evil, and grant repentance to all who are still in sin that they might be saved. We pray also that He would keep your heart from hatred and fill you with love, patience and confidence in His final victory, and that He would help you to stand firm, armed and steadfast after having done all, until Christ comes.

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask that You manifest Your power over all evil. Defeat the schemes of the devil and his angels, restrain the lawlessness that is in the world, and guard Your people from the evil one. Bring sinners to repentance through the gospel, execute Your righteous judgment in Your perfect time, and hasten the day when Christ will reign in full victory. Give us grace to love what You love, to hate what You hate, and to trust Your justice and mercy. Amen.

If you are troubled by oppression or temptation, keep seeking the Lord, remain in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with His church, and trust that He who has provided a better hope for us will not fail to bring His promises to completion.

Your cry against evil and your desire to see God bring justice is heard and understood. It is right to hate evil, because God hates evil. The beginning of wisdom is learning not to tolerate or compromise with evil, but to turn away from it completely. Scripture calls us to avoid the path of evil men, to pass not by it but to turn from it and run from it, to put away perverse speech, to keep our eyes looking straight ahead and to ponder the path of our feet so that we remove our foot from evil.

It is also understandable to feel that justice is far off. There are times when it seems truth has fallen in the street and justice stands far away, and no one is truly pleading for what is right. The Lord sees this and it displeases Him. But we are told not to fret ourselves because of evil men or to be envious of the wicked, for there shall be no lasting reward for the evil man. They shall be cut off. Even when the wicked seem to prosper for a time, we should not be consumed with anxiety, but trust that God will deal with evil in His way and time.

The Bible is clear that God has appointed a day of judgment. He has promised to raise up a righteous King from the line of David who will reign and execute judgment and justice in the earth. The dark pictures in the book of Revelation of the beast, the false prophet, and the powers of darkness belong to a time of great tribulation, but that book does not end there. It goes on to show the glory of God's kingdom and the certainty that God Himself will judge Satan and all his agents and angels, and that the beast and the false prophet will be cast into their final judgment by the Lord. That judgment belongs to God. Vengeance belongs to Him, and He will repay. He alone has the authority to slay His enemies from one end of the earth to the other at His appointed time.

For us, the call is to be prudent and to foresee the evil that comes from sin and to hide ourselves in the provision God has made through Jesus Christ. To fear the Lord is to depart from evil, and when we do, it will be well with us. When we turn from evil we may even make ourselves a target, because the enemy attacks those who choose righteousness, so we need that sense of God's nearness and protection as we walk in the midst of a corrupt generation. Our hearts should remain pure toward Him, trusting not in man but in the Lord, who is not far off but present to help and to deliver.

So instead of asking God to carry out death according to our own timing and anger, Scripture teaches us to pray for God's will and kingdom to come, for His justice to be done on earth as it is in heaven, for deliverance from the power of darkness through the redemption we have in Jesus, and for the wicked to turn from their evil way and their evil doings while there is still time. For those who persist in evil, God's judgment will surely come and it will not be well with the wicked in the end.

I will pray with you that God will keep you from evil, that He will strengthen you and keep your heart holy toward Him, that He will hide you in Christ, that He will bring His perfect justice in His perfect time against all that is evil and perverse, and that you will find health and peace as you honor Him and walk in His upright path.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift up your request before the Lord and stand with you in your desire to see the power of the enemy defeated and the righteousness and justice of God prevail.

We understand your cry against the beast, the devil and Satan and his demons and every work of darkness, including the spirits of immorality, adultery and murder and deception. We have prayed that the Lord would rebuke the enemy and cause his schemes to fail and that the victory of Jesus Christ on the cross would be made manifest. Scripture reminds us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers as written in Eph 6:12, and that vengeance belongs to the Lord as written in Rom 12:19, and that God has already decreed the final defeat of Satan and his angels as written in Rev 20:10. We have prayed therefore not for harm to people but for the defeat of every evil work, for the conviction and repentance of those who do evil where it is God's will to show mercy, and for the perfect justice of God to be done according to His wisdom and timing.

We pray together now, Father we come before You in Jesus Name and we ask for Your protection and Your peace over the one who brought this request. We ask that You break every assignment of the enemy, that You silence the deceiver and his demons, that You expose every falsehood and bring Your light and truth. We ask that You guard hearts from fear and anger and fill us with faith in the finished work of Christ. Let Your will be done and let Your kingdom come. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
