God does not ask us to risk our health when we fast. You could go on a fast where you had fresh juice, or protein smoothies, or only soup, etc.

But deny yourself sweets, etc. You should do a modified fast so that you do not get sick. Please be careful. Always drink water, and electrolyte liquid if you need it.
