Dear sister, fear not, neither be dismayed, the LORD has made a very clear directive regarding those sinful thoughts. He says, "do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is; his good, pleasing and perfect will." So Father, I pray (in Jesus' name) that you teach Southerndoll how to renew her mind (daily) to the Word of God...that she learn how to toss out the old thoughts and replace them with your thoughts. Lead her to spiritual teachers also, those saints that are firmly anchored in knowing how to think, pray, speak and live the Word of God! Another verse that comes to my mind is, "You will keep her in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because she trusts in You." So I submit my sister to you right now, LORD, that you help her to keep her mind on you (stuck like glue) so she can have peace. What I see when I read Your Word, LORD, is not that we won't have those pesky sin thoughts anymore, but that when we have them we toss them out and replace them with yours. Kind of like, putting in fresh water when we notice the water is muddy; after all, the Word of God says that renewing our minds is a daily thing. We can't just read the Word once and that's it. We need our "daily bread"--that's how we're fed, and that's how we replace bad thoughts with good (God) thoughts. So I thank you Father GOD, that you fill your servant Southerndoll with more and more of your Word...till she is overflowing! AMEN!
