Dear mlrs, Please never stop praying even though you might not be seeing anything happening at this time. You are creating a covering for your son with these prayers and the Lord honors each and every prayer that is prayed in faith. I just want to encourage you not to be moved from your faith in God no matter what you see, or hear, or experience coming from son. There is nobody else that can pray for your son and stand in the gap against darkness like you can.
There is no doubt that it can be a very rocky road to travel so please fortify yourself with all the precious promises of God so that you will be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. We have an enemy of our souls and he is set to destroy lives and so we not only have to understand what we are up against but most of all we must understand all the ways the Lord has provided for our protection and deliverance not only for ourselves but for all those we love. Here are some vital scriptures to meditate and become familiar with.
Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 1 Peter 5:6-9
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Ephesians 6: 10-18
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19
Father, We know Your thoughts toward us are of peace and to give us a future and a hope. Your Word promises that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through You, Father, to the tearing down of strongholds in our lives. Thank You that You have promised also that if we will resist the devil he will flee from us. We bring this special request of this precious mother to You and humbly lay it at Your feet asking that Your perfect will be done. We pray remembering the very stripes Christ took upon His back and the blood that He shed for our healing. We draw close to You right now knowing that all things are possible if we only believe and we believe and are fully expecting miracles to happen with this young man in Jesus Holy Name. Amen.
For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 38 & 39
