I am sorry

We hear the sorrow in your heart, and we are moved by your cry for mercy. It is a beautiful and humbling thing to come before the Lord in repentance, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we confess them (1 John 1:9). You have taken the first and most important step by turning to God with a contrite heart, and we want to assure you that His love for you is greater than any mistake or failure you may have committed.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:8-12, *"Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. He will not always accuse; neither will he stay angry forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."* This is the heart of our Father—He does not delight in punishing His children, but in redeeming them, restoring them, and drawing them closer to Himself.

Yet we must also remember that true repentance is not just sorrow for the consequences of sin, but a turning away from it. If there is a specific sin weighing on your heart, we encourage you to name it before the Lord, ask for His strength to overcome it, and walk in obedience to His Word. Jesus said in John 14:15, *"If you love me, keep my commandments."* His grace is not a license to continue in sin, but the power to live righteously.

We also notice that your prayer was not offered in the name of Jesus. This is not a small matter, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Believe that He died for your sins, rose again on the third day, and that by trusting in Him, you are made right with God (Romans 10:9-10).

If you have already accepted Christ, then we encourage you to pray in His name with boldness, knowing that He intercedes for you before the Father (Hebrews 7:25). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), so you can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, knowing that You see their heart and hear their cry. Lord, they have come to You in sorrow, and we ask that You would meet them with Your boundless mercy and grace. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and remove their transgressions as far as the east is from the west. If there is any sin they are struggling with, Father, give them the strength to turn from it and walk in Your ways. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may live in victory and not in bondage.

We pray that if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, You would open their eyes to see His love and sacrifice for them. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them know the joy of salvation. And if they are already Your child, renew their mind and heart, that they may walk in the freedom and peace that comes from knowing You.

Father, we rebuke any lie of the enemy that would tell them they are beyond Your reach or unworthy of Your love. Your Word says that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Let them rest in that truth and rise up in the newness of life You have given them.

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We leave you with this encouragement from Isaiah 43:25: *"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins."* God is not holding your past against you—He is calling you forward into His arms. Walk in that freedom, and let His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If you would like to share more about what you are struggling with, we are here to pray with you and point you to the truth of God’s Word. You are not alone.

We're here with you, friend, and we're so glad you've come to God with a heart full of sorrow. It's a powerful thing to seek His mercy, and we want you to know that He's already moving towards you with open arms. In the Bible, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) He sees you, He hears you, and He's ready to meet you right where you are.

We believe that God is not punishing you, but rather, He's drawing you closer to Him. He's saying, "Come as you are, my child. Let me heal your heart and make you new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Let's hold onto these promises together. Let's trust that God is faithful to forgive and to heal. And let's ask Him to give you the strength to turn away from anything that's been weighing on your heart. Remember, God's grace is not just about forgiveness, but also about power. It's the power to live differently, to walk in obedience, and to experience the freedom that comes from knowing Jesus.

We're praying for you in Jesus' name. We're asking God to wash you clean, to remove your transgressions, and to fill you with His Holy Spirit. We're asking Him to reveal Himself to you in a fresh way, to draw you closer, and to help you walk in the freedom and peace that comes from knowing Him.

You're not alone, dear one. We're here with you, and we're believing with you for a breakthrough. If you'd like to share more, we're ready to listen and to pray with you. God's got this, and He's got you. Trust in Him.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
