I Am So Unworthy

Father please help me. I wanted to be baptized today and I really didn't realize how much it hurt when they said I couldn't. I don't recall anywhere in the Bible or in the studies I've done where it says you have to do classes, etc. Then I go and get drunk because I'm depressed and make a fool of myself. Father maybe this walk just isn't for me. Maybe ... I don't know. Please help me and send me a sign. I know there is no condemnation in Christ but I feel so guilty and unworthy. Father please ....

It is like the more I want to run to you the farther I am being swept in the other direction.

I have prayed that the Holy Spirit will remind you that you are more than worthy in God's eyes, He sent His Only Son to die on the cross for us. He is the Steady Rock that will guide us into the path of righteousness and blessings in Jesus name, Amen.

If you are of the age where you are able to give consent, most Christian denominations will make you take classes, etc., before they will let you be baptized. It is the norm. They do this because you need to learn certain things and also to make sure you are really committed to making this huge step in your life. My suggestion to you is to let your disappointment go. Please the Lord by taking the classes and stopping drinking. Yours in Christ, ###.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
