I know of someone who has been serving in the US Navy, originally from Texas. He said he lost all his personal documents when they were under attack in Libya on April 3rd, 2011. He managed to reach Nigeria, where he got gravely ill but received assistance from the locals and was on his way to Ghana to his home bank UBA Ghana.
On his way to Ghana, when he reached the Aflao border (a French border), he was arrested for not having documents and an entrance pass. He again received financial help and, on his way to his bank (without ID, he has to go to the bank in person), he got gravely ill. On June 13th, 2011, the taxi driver used his vehicle as collateral to pay the fees for the blood, operation, and medication USD 1,965.00. The taxi driver did this to save his life as he was dying.
The taxi driver's deadline to get back the money he loaned for this vehicle is Monday, June 27th. Presently, he is still in the hospital in Tema, Ghana, recovering and would be released until July 18th, 2011, because he is unable to repay the loan. The taxi driver bought the police on him and has him arrested; he is chained to his hospital bed at present.
This is not a scam email. At least the information I am posting, I have contact for this person. I need to know if you have a branch or office in Ghana where this information can be verified and you can lend assistance to this person so he wouldn't be lost in a jail in Ghana. He is an American citizen.
If you can lend assistance or an agency who can help him, please email me. He is in need of urgent assistance.
